I dunno, in 3 years, do you want a soon-to-be 34 year old Hendrickson, or a 29 year old Keion White?

I wouldn't cry if they brought him in here, but I would hate giving up any sort of premium draft capital for him. Giving up draft picks for 30+ year olds is usually a pretty bad idea.
in 3 years a lot can change. And "a lot" becomes weirder by the day. Plus with that kind of horizon, there are so many creative solutions to this problem

If he gives us 2 10 sack years, no one will consider a 2nd round pick a high cost. And this seems to be pessimistic

If it means missing out on a premium player who would be entering his prime in 3 years - it will definitely be considered.

I know for damn sure Captain Stone will have the list of picks we 'could have had' all ready to go every time Hendrickson misses a game.

We aren't though. It's even pointless to put into % how realistic this is.

I am sorry, but I don't consider this an argument. Maye could be a bust, now at least we have an awesome DLine with 2 monsters, while searching for a new QB

3 years is too long of a time to be worried for this

I mean, they're not winning this year. They'll be lucky to sniff the playoffs in 2 years. This is a long-term rebuild. I think Maye's window is very relevant.

We can't let this be this amount of obvious

that's not how the market in sports works.

We are crossing the point where the salary cap issues are starting to prevent good teams keeping their players.
Huh, wonder what that's like

Hmm. Yeah?

Guys got 35 sacks in 2 seasons... he had 17 last season we had 28... excellent edge setter, proven QB sack specialist.. sure make a run at him... or we just gonna flirt with him??

That's because it is horrible roster construction. Or in this case, lack of constructing a roster.
Cincy has at least 5 players that are all pro bowl and or all Pro caliber due thier drafting.. our Achilles heel.

We can't continue to screw up drafts like we have for the past 8 to 10 years for sure.

John,

You couldn't be more right. I believe Vrabel is being aggressive, calculated and taking the smart approach. Also he doesn't want to harm the organization with tampering charges.. so that's likely why no news other than our own guys.. just my opinion...

You gotta hit the mark when you have the window.

They add this kid, Stanley, Godwin and a bonafide starter R1, they'd be well on their way.

We've been rebuilding since 12 left.

I would settle for a Offense that can keep up: can steal a few games. Like those old Colts Offenses?? I don't want to watch an anemic Offense in 25.

And Aiyuk... Drake Maye would reach his potential.

The biggest contracts are so big they are strangling teams more than ever.

Vrabel won't allow it. I read that he and baker have been forming a great coach/player relationship that is vital for a young player...
