Bengals All-Pro DE Trey Hendrickson granted permission to request trade

Would you take him on a 2 year deal, and especially if they draft someone (like a Sawyer, Tuimoloau, etc.) who could learn under him?

Yup

Maybe but clearly the Bengals can't afford to keep him.

Because it isn't about the cap, it's about the cash. Mike Brown will not **** up the cash that allows the cap can to be kicked down the road.

Can't wait to watch Cincy score 35 a game next year... and give up 45 a game
They gave up 16 to us which was like 40 to a regular team

Fun fact: Trey Hendrickson was originally drafted with one of the picks the Patriots traded to the Saints for Brandin Cooks.

[That was the year Belichick punted on the draft, only taking 4 players in rounds 3, 4, and 6. The Saints drafted Marshon Lattimore, Ryan Ramczyk, Marcus Williams, Alvin Kamara, Alex Anzalone, and Trey Hendrickson in the first three rounds; Lattimore, Hendrickson, and Kamara are all former Pro Bowlers.]
Never forget Antonio Garcia

He’ll be with the Bears soon.

The way they're throwing around top-100 picks like a drunk guy, with a pocket full of singles, making it rain at a strip club, maybe.

Suggested we look into this when the rumblings around him & his contract started...

Not sure a third could get this done... maybe sweeten the pot with a 26 pick as well?

He is worth the pick and the money

we look extremely dumb with all this waiting

One of those situations in which he is a game-changing, elite talent but also be 31 in December.
Hold on, if the argument for Bosa is that he is not available enough, then Hendricson has missed 2 games last 3 seasons

We can easily squeeze him 2-4 years, even at non-peak, which is the exact window for Maye's rookie. 31 years old is not ALWAYS too old nowadays

We need to go in now, your argument of probabilities in the draft says it all

Hendrickson's production on the short term is worth the 30% or whatever we have the chance to strike gold-ish in the 2nd rounf

Different arguments.

To your point, Hendrickson is still a stud and has in all likelihood 1-2 years of top-end production left. Is that worth $40m-$50m guaranteed?

Bosa won't get anywhere near that. Bigger discount.

I think it is, money wise, EVEN if we consider that next year the salary cap wont increase that much (if you know you know). We are getting a center-piece, a name, a renowned star to a rebuilding team, on the other side of a promising QB, without any long term problem

Bosa, to a lesser degree, fits that too. Bigger the risk, yes, but you are also paying way less.

We just watched the Eagles dominate a super bowl team rushing 4 people, even with problem. I want at least to think we could do that, since we can actually manage to get this offseason (and why I dont want to draft defense first)

I dunno, in 3 years, do you want a soon-to-be 34 year old Hendrickson, or a 29 year old Keion White?

I wouldn't cry if they brought him in here, but I would hate giving up any sort of premium draft capital for him. Giving up draft picks for 30+ year olds is usually a pretty bad idea.

To be clear I will have no issues w/ them signing Hendrickson. Just calling out the concerns. They might do a 4 yr deal to spread the cap hit.
