Brady > Belichick
Brady is the only G.O.A.T.
Belichick - Brady = Marvin Lewis
Brady has proven Belichick's ego, arrogance and inflated self-importance clouded his decision to move on from Brady. Now Belichick's legacy is crumbling beneath him. His team floundered badly this season without Brady. He's facing having to rebuild his roster that is thin on talent due to his poor drafts and his otherwise poor roster construction. And not only did he foolishly move on from Brady but he actually believed he could insert the last veteran FA has-been quarterback left on market and win. He couldn't. He won't be able to and the team will continue to look up at Buffalo and probably Miami for the immediate future at least. And that's just the division; it's an even steeper hill to climb in the conference.
Meanwhile, Brady is on the doorstep of winning his 7th Super Bowl after winning three road playoff games (two against HOF quarterbacks). If Brady wins SB 55 then Belichick's legacy will be irreparably tarnished unless he can find another franchise quarterback to lead him on a Super Bowl run of his own.
Firstly good luck getting a veteran franchise quarterback to come to New England. What's the lure? Throwing to a 1st round bust and a FA overachiever? The inept TE's? Handing off to Sony Michel? Rodgers won't signup for that at age 38. Stafford will throw 27 picks moving out of a dome and playing with this roster.
New England is going to be a tough sell for FA's who have other financially equitable opportunities. And part of the problem is the head coach. He comes across as a bitter egomaniac who wants his players to subjugate themselves to his rule, agenda and whims. Belichick has lost sight of what made him who he is, the players, and most notably the quarterback.
