They do? Shiiiiit. And I thought extended PS games were not worth as much

You are a beacon onfknowledge 71. I’ll be keeping my eye on you
Well then maybe you should act like it.

Lotta drama in Bedard's reporting as well.

Hes gotta eat, too.
If you trust Bedard's football acumen, his observations are scary.

Patricia was quoted as saying that the offensive line is working on pure fundamentals such as foot work and pad level rather than running successful plays.
In film review Bedard thinks the O line's technique has been atrocious, which makes me very nervous about the coaching.

With that said I don't think Patricia - as intelligent as he is is smooth with the press.

The line issues have been all over the place.

Act like what? Act like you? Someone who comes in here and tells people the sky is blue so that you can feel you passed on some knowledge?

Factor in the perceived indifference toward practices by both starting tackles.

Brown's lollygagging has been attributed to his state of mind regarding the contract he signed in the offseason for "right tackle" money now that he is the team's starting left tackle.

Then there's former left tackle now right tackle Wynn whose concern is less about his left tackle wages this year and more about his future wages if teams agree with NE that he's best suited at the lower wage right tackle slot.

Two disgruntled starters who are adding suitcases to their baggage cart.

It worked when you had Brady to allow you to over come a slow start and still potentially get a first seed.. For a team like this? Going into the first 4 games with that kind of thought process is a failure of proper preparation. Not to mention no other team talks about a quarter of the season as partly expendable. Why can't we figure out how not to have presrason bleed into the regular season when the other 31 teams do it?

Why should they change their process?

They started 1-3 last year and made the playoffs.

Winning another game in Sept does not make them a better team in January.

This is true but with this current team that extra win could very well be the difference between making the playoffs or not. Pretty sure most people have the pats either squeaking in the playoffs or missing it.

That means they'd still get their ass kicked 1st rd like last year.

Making the playoffs is great and not to be dismissed but they would be better by record only (which isn't the worst thing).

The Patriots being slow starters is kind of a myth. They haven’t been 0-4 to start the season since 2000 and they’ve been at least .500 in the first 4 games every year this century except 2001 and last season and made the playoffs both of those seasons anyway.

Once again, facts suck for you

To your point the Pats objectives are to win a super bowl, not sneak into the playoffs with no real chance to win. BB does not share anything with the press that he does not want to share. When he does say something the words are intended for his team to hear and deflect the anger away from the team. When he makes statements about starting slow it is to help ensure that the team does not get discouraged and continues to learn and get better in order to get to a championship level as soon as possible. Behind the scenes you can bet that there is plenty of urgency to win. This season will be a success if the team is playing at a high level the last month of the year, even if they miss the playoffs because it took a few games to find themselves. If they do make the playoffs, they will have a better chance than last year.

When you're young like Popovich and Bricillo, you'll cut corners to get your OL to at least run plays so it's not a complete crap show. This may have happened last year with all the young OL. Onwenu and Wynn, but also all the people behind them never learned to do things the right way fundamentally because their coaches were more concerned with their careers.

Possibly because they've continually whittled down both preseason and what teams are allowed to do in the way of practice during TC.

complete bs, the games in September count just as much as the games in December.
They should strive to win as many games as possible once the regular season starts
So he was wrong when he said that in the past too then
