Sacks are also a binary. You don't get one if the QB scrambles back to the line or throws the ball away, but it's still a negative play in terms of the position the opposing team is in for the next play, just not as negative as losing yards.

Sacks = big payday for DE-olb etc.
Pressures are often a result of multiple rushers confusing, rattling, disrupting QB and rushing lanes.
Of course you get the sack if you can, but team approach is always more effective over the course of a game.
Interesting the Hightower and Van Noy from the inside was disruptive recently.
The great Pats D of the early dynasty depended on rushes from different angles.

League leader in sacks is around 16 or so. One sack a game. For that, a contract among the highest on your team. Was that sack at a crucial time? Maybe garbage time. Pats have acquire pass rushing ability without necessarily the classic expensive rusher like Chandler Jones. Vrabel was all time sackleader at Ohio state, Bruschi held the single season 1a record with 52 and Nincovich had consistent output of sacks. Like McGinest, he was much better in the clutch as far as sacks go.
