BB watch

Turmoil with offensive coaching staff. BB faking the search for OC. Overruling BoB on bringing in his own staff over his own guys. Cheapening out on the OL and skill players.

This is why Bill can't stay even with someone else at GM. It won't work. Bill is too set in his ways and will sabotage any decision made by others.

Callahan and Kyed’s story this morning said he wanted to keep Patricia as OC.

Lolz.
Yup, nothing is going to change as long as Bill is around. The blind homers refuse to see what's clear as day, choosing to desperately hang on to their saviour solely based on the dynasty years, while ignoring the departure of Brady, Gronk and JE11.

This article hits the nail on the head: poor planning on OL came back to haunt the team.
Oh, you think?

Last draft he could have done a much better job with the OL. Dawand Jones at RT in the third, and OT Carter Warren, whom we will see starting with the Jets, in our move up in the fourth.

Still take Sidy Sow where we did.

So with all our problems now at OL, we could be rolling out Warren-Sow(his natural position)-Andrews-Onwenu-Jones. An encouraging youth movement with talent.

Carter Warren has more talent than VLowe. And he can play both sides.

Don't remember hearing much about Warren. When was he drafted?

We gave up 120 and 184 to the Jets to move up to get a kicker who’s stinking up the joint.

NY took Warren, a top-tier prospect (first or second round) at Pitt until an injury derailed his senior season, with our pick at 120. He has the perfect NFL tackle body, with a lot of starting experience and, unlike Trent Brown, is an intelligent team-oriented guy.

When he came back he has started at both LT and is now starting at RT.

A dang GM mistake last draft.

So I take it no decision on Black Monday then. Kraft needs to move quickly either way to set the table for what’s going to happen this winter.

I’m sure coaches aren’t going to jump on the first job available, plus coaches like Mayo, Vrabel more than likely will wait to see what happens with Bill.
I think the Pats are still looking to get draft pick compensation from a team like Washington or LA. Concern would be Kraft losing his guy whilr
We’re in limbo.

Decision may already be made. Obviously, you hear the employee out but chances of it affecting the decision are usually low. I find the timing of the release of this article interesting. It certainly won't help his case, though I doubt Krafts aren't already aware of everything that's been going on.

There have been a lot of them with this team the last several years (if not more).

I'll be watching what BB does after the game ends. If it's anything other than business as usual then we will know this is it.

His embrace of McDermott the other day didn't look business as usual to me.

If NE can get at minimum a 2nd for Bill, that’s the only way I’m moving on. Man is still a heck of a head coach.

Part of me hopes Falcons come out of nowhere and bring in BB.

Allows me to remain Pats fan AND pull for BB to be successful.

This city could benefit from the Falcons not being trash.

Great stadium experience at Mercedes also.

I also have some connects with the Falcons via parents of my kid’s friends, and business interests so could be fun to see him here.

Media in Atl are cupcakes compared to Boston, and Kirby will remain top story no matter who coaches the Falcons.

I doubt they'd get more than a day 3 pick for Bill.

Than I’m keeping him.
Yeah it's just hard to see Bill agreeing to a trade where his new team will trade back something valuable to his old team.

That is why stories like these are bs.
It says “according to sources” belichick wanted to keep Patricia but relented

As with most of the story it’s a tired old conspiracy theory. The article is full of them. You can “confirm” anything you want with an unnamed source when it’s been speculated. Who do you think the source would be that really had that knowledge? That read Belechicks mind?
This is how it works, they float an idea then ask a bunch of “sources” and get into say they think so, and end up with a salacious claim.

Patricia’s contract was up. So he would have had to be rehired. BOB was hired immediately which all but confirms they tried to hire him a year ago and he wouldn’t break his Alabama deal.

This, like most of the story, is nothing more than telling rumors to a bunch of people somewhere in the orbit of the organization and getting one who will not go on record to say yeah I think so.
