BB dragged Jones out of the field with him at the end of the game

Looking at this sequence it's all very strange but it just looks like MAC was sulking and BB was just kind of like asking him to go do that in the locker room or something.
THIS!! the whole take is such media BS to try and spin a story where there is not one.

I swear I think there some people on this board who would just be happier if they became Bucs fans.
They wouldn't have been happy yesterday. Rams made a statement at the Bucs' expense.

Looks like I made a wise decision in not renewing my BSJ subscription.....

I'm not gonna lie, as much as I like Brady, I'm so glad they lost. The Brady bunch on this board are much more tolerable today.

BB was right to lead him off the field. Sitting there with your head down, distraught, and possibly crying is not a good look after a loss. Take him off the field and help him get his head on right and move on to next week.
I agree. This kid is clearly emotional and takes things too personal. It’s a good thing to assume responsibility as a leader but not so good if you're viewed as too emotional (there's no crying in football).

Bill is clearly trying to protect him by not allowing him to go to the field in that state of mind. Contrast that with Wilson last week, who got destroyed yet was in the middle of the field with a big smile and chuckling with the rest of the players.

Even in his presser, Mac said all the standard Patriots rap about execution, blah, blah, but didn't sound very confident.

He was already doing this even before this game living and dying on every single game. Something that hopefully can be coached out of him.

There is a very good chance you're wrong.
Nothing that Ive seen from Jones leads me to believe that he is anything more than a game manager..

I've watched dozens of them come and go.

Haven't you fans learned anything?

This is not the finished product...especially with only 3 pre-season games.
They'll get it together. Their system is more complex and takes some time.

A lot of new moving parts. Not just at QB.
"On to Cincinnati" ring a bell?

Show some patience. Even SB years they started off slow.

Do you like any QB's from this draft? Not gonna tear them down or anything, just curious.

There is one major difference from then to now.

People wanna compare this team to 01..

they forget on that team we had 3 or 4 hall of famers in their prime on that defense and a pro bowl WR in his prime who was also the best punt returner in nfl. And a hall of fame kicker.

People also seem to forget it is a completely different game than it was back then. Back then you let a RB carry the ball 25 times a game and threw 20 passes and won games 14-10.

I really hope he wasn't crying. He's too old for that sh*t.

And a fledgling Tommy Brady.

When Brady took over you saw a complete change in the offense that resonated throughout the entire team. IIRC, Gill Santos said that Brady was a anticipatory passer and Bledsoe was an reactionary passer.

Many people on this board are in heavy denial over this. I remember Ron Jaworski also saying the difference between the two was that Brady was able to "process information" much quicker. Pats were 0-2 and wouldn't have made the playoffs without a competent QB at least moving the ball to score some points and give your D a rest. In fact, every year when a team started 0-2, the question would be asked if any team could turn it around as the chances of making the playoffs after starting 0-2 was slim to none.

If the D was the real "reason" for their success, Bill would've inserted Bledsoe right back in the lineup when cleared to play.

The narrative about Brady has always been so bizarre because, if you look at Bledsoe and Brady in 2001, it’s clear that Bledsoe looks through the exact progression tree, per the coach and playbook, whereas Brady has field vision and sees how it’s developing. Brady never looked anything like Bledsoe, and Brady’s pass selection never looked anything like Bledsoe. Bledsoe was following the plan to a T; Brady was always following his own instincts and anticipation.

Let's not rewrite history here. Brady was a far better fit for the Patriots offense in 2001 than Bledsoe, but that team won defense during a time where defenses won championships. Brady was a good QB that year. But he wasn't special at that point. There were other QBs in the league that could have won a championship with that team that year.

Bledsoe was a really bad fit for what the Pats wanted to do. He was a seven step drop, down the field passer where the Pats wanted to go with a quick passing game. I only assume that Belichick was forced by Kraft to give Bledsoe that contract because he just didn't do what Weis and Belichick wanted to do.

And let's face it. If Brady had Mac Jones' offensive line back in 2001, the Pats wouldn't have won a Super Bowl that year for sure.

I heard the fans booing on TV, what was that about and how often, loud?
I was at the game. I think it was about play selection va the circumstances and inability to execute.
