As time goes on this is more about the abuse of power in the NFL offices to get BB and the collateral damage of Brady/Kraft are just casualties of this conflict..

They overreached on the sideline camera incident, probably exerted pressure on Kraft to give a draft pick to the Jets and have been messing with this team from the onset...

What remains to be seen is if Kravitz and Steven A will release who their confidants are, I suspect that Smith is so tied into the machine that will not happen.. but Kravitz might be vulnerable.

I still wait for that national expose by a credible writer who will connect all these dots and come up with a coherent story that shows the idiocy that exists in the NFL office..

Winnah, winnah.. chicken dinnah!!!! I have been saying this about the cell phones from the onset, they did not need Brady's phone they had Jeremski/McNally's phones.

The NFL already showed they were willing to cheat, steal and lie to discredit him. So why help the investigation? Why give them any opportunity to misconstrue or twist your words? Yeah the league already had the phones of everybody he communicated with in the first place, but still why help the investigation? It’s why Kensil leaked the false story in the first place. To entrap Brady. This wasn’t about finding the truth. It was witch hunt. That’s why Goodell didn’t bother taking up Brady’s offer to obtain all his records. They wanted to hang him. They baited him, they set a trap, and all of it turned up nothing.

Here is why the OP is spot on:

ESPN has a multi-year multi-billion contract with the NFL. Every word written and said is compromised and agenda-driven.

Barstool Sports does not.

Autonomy and freedom of speech is EVERYTHING.

As they say, " follow the money". It will take a PBS or CNN or ABC. 20/20 to investigate because they don't have NFL contracts or maybe a major newspaper but nobody reads them anymore.
