Another season is in the books and the end was not satisfying. Some will move on to baseball, basketball, or hockey. Some will study up for the draft. Before you know it summer will be here and of course summer flies by and the Patriots will take the field again. Each of us will be several months older. Do not wish your life away - even for the Patriots. Winning a championship is not a birthright. Be thankful for all of the joy that they have already provided.

Thank you @Ian and @ashley1992 and @Ross12 and the whole crew.

EDIT: 2018-2019 is much more satisfying.

A lot of us suffered as Pats fans in the 80s and 90s when we were bad.

This one hurts. With all of the disrespect towards Brady, we just wasted one of the all time great games by an athlete.

Great post Sammy. I’m bummed that Brady played that great and we lost but hell you can’t win em all and it’s not Brady’s fault really. It felt funny once I found out butler was out

I have a slightly different perspective. I don't see the game as a waste by any means.

Brady further cemented his legacy as a phenomenal quarterback. Belichick and the coaching staff didn't have a great game, but they're humans, and as good as they are they aren't perfect. A lot of credit to Philly for playing a great game.

You win some, you lose some. It was a great game and I'm proud of this team and their accomplishments this season.

I don't think this affects their legacy whatsoever... it was a great season that ended in a disappointing but not a defining manner.

The Goat is Not Done.
That said, if he never wins another we've already seen more success than I ever thought would happen in my lifetime, it started being gravy after the 4th ring.

Well put. I personally feel that this game really ripped me into the camp of “BB is a great coach, but Brady has been the heartbeat of the dynasty” camp. 500 yards, 3 TD and you lose because of the worst Superbowl defense ever. Tough to swallow. BUT this team has already given me more Sports memories than any one fan really deserves

Very good post. Been drifting tonight and am pretty bummed about the Butler benching because it leaves a lot of what ifs in my mind.

Might be best to just move on and count the blessings.

Great post. Even if you have 9 lives, we can't wish it away.

Too bad that Dion Lewis had to end his brief Pats career on such a sour note.
By not giving him more opportunities for Guard/Tackle and Off-Tackle runs behind Develin (instead of the almost-always-useless up-the-middle crap), Bill & Skippy did him a great disservice.
