Anyone miss Thursday Night Football?

Nope. Games were 99% trash.

I love NFL football. I loathe Thursday Night NFL football.

Irony I guess...

I just dressed like a day glo popsicle, so I got the experience anyway.

I'm in my fantasy football Super Bowl so I was hoping there would be a game on tonight with one of my players (or my opponents') to make it relevant.

I watched Pats/Bucs and a half of Falcons/Saints. So no, not really.

I put it on if there is nothing else going on, but last night I was out driving around with my kids looking at the best Christmas light displays (an annual tradition) and I forgot there was no game until I saw your thread. So no, I don't really miss it.

For good reason there is a lot talk about how NFL should do away with Thursday Night Football.

After, all the players don't have a enough time to let their bodies recover.

The coaches don't have a lot of time to study and implement a quality gameplan.

And NFL fans would be better served not being over-satured with NFL games throughout the week. Sometimes less is more.

....well, this week there is no game and I'm not gonna lie I miss not having a game to watch.

I hadn't even noticed it was gone until you brought it up.

Nope. Actually forgot all about it.

Oh, there wasn't a game last night? If the Patriots aren't playing i don't watch anyway.

I have a routine that I enjoy on Thursdays that is going to the gym after work or after a pit stop on my place, then after gym buying some foods like cheeses or other stuff that you serve on a table in front of the TV, and then watch the games. So I like TNF, or used to.

This year I did that once, and last year few times. Last year I think I watched almost all games, this year only a few, previously I used to watch all of them.

I still like my routine but the games are unwatchable almost by design, I think the players have a handshake agreement to not give everything on Thursdays (unless it's vital) and I agree with that. The games are in a slow place and hit the under most times than the over. The coaches have no power over this and probably don't care either.

I don't worry about over saturation, I think there is space for a game on a day other than Sunday and Monday, the problem is the quality, the games have been terrible and the match ups awful as well, Browns x Ravens ish. They have to figure this **** out, I don't think removing the Thursday game from the schedule is a nice solution, you have other ways to explore that issue as mentioned a thousand times here and in other boards probably.

It would be so easy to create a situation where the solid majority of TNF games involve teams coming off a bye. I guess that makes too much sense for the NFL to implement.

Having said that, I think people use confirmation bias to bash the quality of play. Lots of horrible games (and injuries) on Sundays also.

Being on holiday, I was actually looking forward to being able to watch as much football as I wanted this week, so was slightly disappointed TNF wasn't an option. My schedule hasn't really permitted me to watched TNF all year though, so nothing really changed for me.

I missed it. TNF sucks. But it's some form of football. There won't be SNF either but 2 MNF games. Should be fun.

I like having football as many days of the week as possible, but I acknowledge it's probably better for the game if there's no TNF, 9:30 AM London games, etc.

I do miss being able to turn TNF on for some background noise. I always try to pay attention but the game always sucks and I usually have to wake up at 7 the next morning.

they should move college football to thursday or friday and play nfl games sat/sundays

Mine says she's a Bronco fan but in reality she just likes the colors.
She does not like sports.

Except the party that comes with hosting the SB at our house every year.

What was that party like last year? You are a stronger man than I, I can't have people around anymore when the Pats are in the Super Bowl (after 2007....)

Same here. TNF is the definition of background noise for me. More interesting if I have someone going in fantasy too. I don't think it's worth it in the end for the toll it takes on the players. I've enjoyed watching some of the big names speak out about it (Sherman, Brees).
