Anybody sick of hearing about the Giants 10 road win streak

I am not sick of hearing the Giants' 10 road win streak.

In fact, I am worried (as usual before every game, but wait, I get worried even during the exhibition games ) because the last two games were against opponents heavily favored to go all the way. Gritty wins and my respect for the Giants' went up considerably.

In fact, I would like nothing better than to hear the 10 road win
stuff 24 hours a day on sports shows until the superbowl so that expectations for Giants are sky high before the game.

Well said! Same here. I would rather have everyone praise the Giants' every day (and hopefully bring down the Vegas spread considerably).

Given the below-the-belt hits that many Giants' allegedly deliver after the whistle blows, I hope we have a nice solid W.

Well what makes the 10 game road streak truly irrelevant is that the Superbowl is NOT an away game or a home game for either team.
It's going to be played at a neutral site in Arizona.
So for this matchup it means absolutely nothing.
It's just a way for the media to hype up an otherwise huge underdog team.
The ratings aren't going to be good if the media just says, well we know it's gonna to be a blowout, let's just hand the Pats the Lombardi trophy.

I never said the Giants have the better players, but championships aren't won on paper. Just ask the Chargers last year, and Dallas this year. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

That's right they are won on the field. And the Pats have done it on the field every single time this year, to the tune of 18-0.
Well done is better than well said. And the Pats have DONE it, better than anyone else in the NFL this year.
I know that you are just praying for an upset so that the Boston vs NY Sports dominance will end, but it's not going to, not this year.
The truth is 18-0. After Super Sunday, it will be 19-0. Deal with it.

Did you make that one up? Good for you.

Nope, you might want to read some of the quotes given by our players, especially that of our 'dirty' Harrison, right after the game.

And, you might want to note that I used the word 'allegedly'.

Making stuff up? Grow up, will you? This not a fickle-minded immature Giants' fans website.

What does the NFL Network commercial have to do with "truth"? I'm sick of that commercial because it's repetitive.

As for the roster comparison, you sound like a Dallas fan and their "12 Pro Bowlers" rhetoric. I never said the Giants have the better players, but championships aren't won on paper. Just ask the Chargers last year, and Dallas this year. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

I agree talent alone doesn't win games... they must be coupled with coaching and preparation. That's a check mark in all three areas for the Patriots.

By the way, are the "yankeeweathermen" forecasting another first round exit?

Let's not be c*cky though. The Giants almost beat us in week 16, and they beat two very good teams the past two weeks. This will be a slugfest.

lol isn't that pot calling the kettle black? If anybody knows a thing or two about playing dirty, it's definitely Harrison. Some even say Wilfork plays dirty, I personally don't see it.

As for the fickle-minded immature website notion, I'm not sure about that one. There are a couple of those here and I have only frequented this website for only a couple of hours.

You miss the point.

You wondered if I was making up stories and I indicated the sources behind my line. Simple.

None of us can really know for sure how much of s**t goes on the field. But if many players mention it in the post game interviews, then something must have been going on that was far beyond 'normal'.

BTW, you missed the ' ' that I had typed when I wrote dirty. I knew you would lol if I mentioned Harrison just like that and so included 'dirty' in front of his name to preempt you. But you didn't get that one either...

You are right about the fickle-minded immature point. Obviously each fan base has its share of oversensitive homers who can't take criticism and idiots prepared to throw the team/players under the bus at the absence of any impressive stats. I had in mind most of the Giants' fans whom I know in the city who completely wrote off the team in November and now suddenly think that they are the best team on the earth.

.

Well there was that time Wilfork tried getting something out of Jacobs eye. Through his facemask.

No. because the more we hear about it, the more they might start to believe the hype and that's all to the good for the pats.

No it's really impressive. Look who they've beaten.

The Redskins
The Falcons
The Dolphins
The Lions
The Bears
The Eagles
The Bills
The Buccaneers
The Cowboys
The Packers

Read them and weep, boys. We're doomed.

Call me when they're in our neighborhood.

I know I am especially considering the Pats have a 8 road win streak and a 13 game home win streak not to forget their 18 game win streak. I guess that have to hype something!

10 games is 10 games. On top of that, 3 are playoff games, against 1 and 2 seeds, in Lambeau, at Dallas. It's impressive stuff, especially since they are not as good as you.

If only you get Johan Santana. Even then, Philip Hughes and Joba will have something to say about that!

You're trying to talk Yankees smack?!? Go to another board with that stupid sh*t - this is the PATRIOTS board!

This idiot was the same who has nothing to say & brings up guys that no one cares! At least tryo to talk some sense about the cinderalla Giants or something: & that's exactly what they are since their road to the SB:
* A TB Bucs team who beat NOBODY to win a pathetic division title. They had Garcia / a beatup-past his prime Galloway / no RB / overrated defense
*Dallas - a team feeling all the pressure with an offense going down the drain thanks to a 'deer in headlights' QB called Romo
* a gift of victory against the Packers when Favre just didn't want to play offense no more ("here NYG, let me throw the ball to you right away in OT")...please if you gave another real team chances like that(missed FGs / fumbles by punt returner), see ya..

so let's here some objective sh*t why the Giants will win..

c'mon, you at least have to give them credit for winning these games.

I mean, they beat the Cowboys and Packers on the road in the playoffs! That is quite impressive as the teams were a combined 26-6. There is no downplaying those games.

Multiply it by 18 & perhaps you can just begin to imagine how sick & tired the rest of the NFL is of hearing about the Pats quest for perfection, and spygate, and the handshake, and Brady, and running up the score, and 50 TD's, and the rebirth of Moss, and....well, you get the picture...

So why are you here?

Kind of true: don't you feel like the Packers more lost the game than the Gmen winning it? I mean, Favre looked old for once (definitely bothered by the conditions most likely) and just threw away the game. And to just keep missing the winning FGs like that - a better team would of pounced on that opportunity. The packers were not playing that well at all - missed tackles at the line / bad play calling (gave up on the run way too soon) / etc..

I'll give you the Dallas game since Gmen thoroughly outplayed them but Dallas with Romo looked like deer-in-headlights feeling all the pressure in the world since they were suppose to be in the SB..

they did have a tough road but the stars aligned with them perfectly in the Packer game.

I agree with this. Everything lined up perfectly for them. The conditions took away Green Bay's skill/talent advantage, and Tampa Bay and Dallas were both playing like rusty teams playing their worst football at the wrong time. I give the Giants credit for getting it done, but in my mind, they left teams playing bad football on the hook for too long.
