Good post. Given 20-20 hindsight, it looks like both "legal teams" failed the client miserably. I wonder if. given the choice after all that has occurred and all that MIGHT occur; AB wishes he had just settled. Her team imposed a deadline with threats of disclosure and civil action......but AB’s team declined to play ball.
Her approach to the NFL is both an attempt to create external pressure on AB to settle and an indirect means to validate her charges without seeking criminal action.
Got to wonder why her team has been dead set against filing criminal charges.
Given she is using her name, has provided personal details, and been incredibly proactive, except for seeking criminal charges, I categorically reject any argument that paints her as too distraught to report her rape to authorities.
Her team failed at phase one... the clean cash grab.... and phase two is under way, a phase that seeks NFL validation before a civil trial.
And as far as we know, Team AB has not succumbed to her leverage tactics
What would, say, a million dollars would have meant to him compared with the millions he has and the millions left to be made over the next 2 or more seasons before he left the NFL, not to mention the public embarrassment of having EVERY mistake he's ever made become public.
At this point even if he plays the entire season and we win a Superbowl, he going to be labelled as a scumbag..... even by us
