It's easy, and only takes a few moments.A question for @MassPats38 — what is the line between demanding a settlement and extortion. Because really “pay me $X or I will sue you” doesn’t sound all that different to me from asking for money to settle a disagreement before taking it to court.
They probably knew there was a women making accusations, maybe didnt know shed file a lawsuit. The patriots had to have know about this potentially coming out right?

I agree with some of your points but the notion that money is not ever a reasonable means to seek justice in some cases of sexual assault, or criminal wrongdoing generally, is untrue in my opinion.
All of the following I’m about to say assumes that the person in question is actually a victim:
Money can help one relocate, get medical/psychological treatment, and allow one to generally pick themselves back up after being the victim of a crime. We all know how stressful not having money is, it’s cripplingly stressful to have to worry about rent, bills, etc. Removing the money stressor from the equation of someone trying to recover from trauma can only helps
It may be cynical but the fact is that money, at a practical/realistic level, is essential to functioning in society at a minimum/basic level, and I think we owe legitimate victims of trauma (sexual assault otherwise) at least that much.
Because Thomas may not be what he wasI honestly don’t think so.
Because why trade Thomas today if you knew this shoe was about to drop?
Dead serious: if you’re famous, you better be recording every time you have sex.
Every. Single. Time.
The better idea is what most people do when they become celebrities - only date other celebrities because they are at a similar level. However, most athletes date/marry long time girlfriends or fool around with groupies/thirsty Instagram hoes (not a good idea). That seems like ... a bad idea.
For the disagreers out there I respect your opinion. I thought this guy was nuts and a mess for the last several years, and the jersey switch doesn’t change that. Again I don’t want to pre-judge him in a broad or legal sense but this is a highly volatile environment we live in, the narrative might be annoying but it can matter, and it’s not as simple as “he’s super famous and bangs lots of chicks so of course he’s going to get accused of rape for money”. Anybody ever come at Gronk? Chandler Jones? Jules? Tom? Pick a player? A lot of our guys have been out and about in situations rife for this kind of claim. McGinest had the issue that was false, so that’s a thing, sure. I’m just thinking of a potentially historically great football team being distracted by **** like this ALL year. And NONE of this was on the table for the 2019 Pats 3 days ago. Not thrilled about it, that’s all.

I'll steer clear of the politics but the crux of it is, down here people are fed up because they want truth not propagated narratives. It seems the general public has conned onto the fact that the media is a business and sensationalism is their business model, no matter the cost or consequence. We're also quick to tear down our idols, renowned for the 'tall poppy syndrome' so when fake sexual assault news hits, the pitchforks come out in droves and the thirst for blood spreads like a virus. It's one of the reasons why I hate these situations (for the reasons) listed earlier. It's also one of the reasons I lament the PC brigade harping on about toxic masculinity and every level of violence against women here because almost every man I know, knows it's our prerogative to protect and empower women NOT put hands on or abuse (in any sense). For some reason, the fourth wave seems to see us as the enemy not a partner to help eradicate the scourge. It makes you wonder what the agenda actually is.Now we get to the crux of the problem. There was a time when journalism required facts, fairness, and real sources. But who am I kidding. The Hearst papers of the turn of the 2oth century led us into a war with little or none of those 3 things, so this isn't really new, is it. We are just better at decimating the story these days.
Unfortunately it's easy to bash the news media, but without it there would be NO one hold our national, state and local governments and businesses to task. So there is good and bad in every area of a democratic state. That's one of the reasons fascism in growing. People are getting tired of having to have figure it out for themselves and just want someone to tell them what is and isn't.
But I forget, you're in Australia. Tell me there is hope down there? And sorry about droning on. Stepping off the soap box now, and falling back into the morass that is the current AB mess.
This will be dragged out for months and settled after the season.
As far as anyone knows he will be.AB was supposed to practice tomorrow.
