Much as I hate to be the harbinger of doom, here is a thread for posting the cuts as the come in.

Starting with these 3 so far:

According to league sources, three players — wide receiver Buddy Farnham, running back Richard Medlin and offensive lineman Jonathan Compas — have all been informed of their release.

Farnham will be picked up on waivers or make it to a PS. he has versatility as WR + DB

Medlin wasn't ever gonna make this team, but he certainly did not help himself last night. Ditto on Compass. He was awful on the line last night. Ole Buddy once again on the outside looking in. Good kid though, I like him.

Here's my prediction: Only 5 of 2011 rookies (thru Mallett in the 3rd round) make it to the roster,

Lee Smith goes to IR or cut
Carter cut (possible PS)
Williams already cut.

It's all good. I'm guilty of not looking either.

We should anticipate up to three PUP designations.
Currently Faulk, Brace, and Deaderick are on active PUP, counting against the 80 limit.
By designating them to reserve PUP, they will not count against the 53-man roster, and can be reconsidered after week six.
