Am I the only one who despises night games?

I swear, I'm mostly chill during the afternoon games. But during the primetime games my stress level is cranked way up.

Go ahead, tell me I'm weird.
I think the patriots hate night games.

Since 2001
1:00 games 109-28 .796
4:00 games 51-14 .785. (This includes a remarkable 27-9 .750 on the road)
Night games 46-21 .687

That is about 8 losses at night worse than their day record.

I'd be curious what the average opponent record is for night games

Typically night games are prime time matchups against teams they feel will be good that year, so the quality of opponent may factor into that

Thats an interesting statistic

I used to love primetime games. Now that I'm older and have a baby and gotta be up at 445 every morning, not so much

Thursday night football sucks in every way.

No, never. Games that end at midnight can get ****ed.

When I was visiting Denver, Monday Night Football started at 6:30 and ended around 10. That was much more manageable and I envy people who live there. I think games are a bit early on the West Coast and too late in Eastern, but the Mountain time zone is perfect. Early games start at 11 on Sundays, which lets you get your morning routine out of the way but doesn't take up the entire afternoon. It's perfect.

So glad Thursday night has been moved to Sat like they used to,post College Football season.

Back before 24 hour sports networks and cable this was a great way to double the games you see in a week and often teams you never really got locally.

Same here. I'm going to watch that Chargers/Chiefs game with great interest since I think the Chargers are going to be the team to come out of the West and will be a pain in the ass for whoever they play in the divisional round.

Yeah, those that are over there have it really good. Even the west coast people have it good as well. I'd rather have the games start earlier in my day than later.
