Old news.
Any reasonable Pats fan has known for years Ken Walter was the first to stumble upon it.

Actually Steve Martin first found it early in 2002. After the 2002 season, Ken Walter stole the tape from Martin's locker. Walter used it to form an organization called POOP (or Patriots Own Ordinary Punters) to keep its members employed. Walter even bluffed the Patriots into believing that he still personally had a copy of the tape in 2006, but he was "injured" once it was discovered he was lying.

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

An interesting post from a guy named PFW Insider about Casale in response to his article:

This is, indeed, Tom Casale. I worked with him for 2 years and he was universally disliked around the office. We all wondered from the very start what Fred saw in him and why he was given such a long rope after his indiscretions online. The patsfans ordeal was surreal. He used multiple aliases to, among other things, denigrate his colleagues that he worked closest with.

It's fine. I don't think anyone cares what he says now. We are all just happy he's not in the office anymore spreading his toxic energy. I mean, hell, if the best revenge is living well I think Tom has a long way to go. He was a bad hire that we stuck with for too long and now he's gone.

The other piece of delicious irony here is that he's being paid to make NFL picks for people to base wagers on. Anyone who listened and read his work while with the PFW team knows that is not a good idea. One of his main gimmicks was talking about why he stopped gambling professionally. He'd say it all the time. That's not the ace i want up my sleeve when trying to outsmart the oddmakers. He's a fantasy football writer playing pretend. Just keep that in mind when you read his "analysis" from his stained couch while his poor wife sobs alone in the kitchen.

Btw, I have alot more bullets in the gun. I haven't even mentioned the events surrounding his dismissal. It's very embarrassing. You can probably imagine when you consider how much they put up with him prior to firing him.
I love the irony of the post assigning Tom's opinions of who is "classy". That's great. I am just curious about how the stuff he is writing adheres to the employment agreement that he signed. It's a contract, after all. Signing it and then violating the contents of it is all class.

Btw, he has done steroid himself. Alot. He has the short mans burden and the muscles make him feel better about himself.

I want it to be true, but who knows.

P.S. at this point, if his reason for being fired is so juicy, I would pay to hear the events around it. Not a lot mind you because Casale ain't worth much, but a dollar or two.

When I read the part about the "sex tape", that was all I needed to see to know that this jerk was full of ****.

These guys just want to see this...

Well, you know, anytime you're with... when you're dating, you're in a competitive situation, and you want to know tendencies, you know, what she'll do when you know, in given situation. The more things like that you know the better prepared you are, and the more things you can do, you know, there are a lot of things I did out there and a lot of things I didn't do, and ultimately when you get down in the red zone you have to score, bottom line. So yes you always want to go back and look at tendencies and when there are things you can do, and then sometimes the things you didn't do so well, you want to correct that and move forward. It is what it is. I had my interpretation of the hotel's policy and I was wrong. I have a date to get ready for. If there are any questions about my current personal life...

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

At some point the tape was stolen and sold to Josh Miller, who remained in posession of the tape until Martin Gramatica stole it from him on August 23, 2006 - the day that Gramatica was released and the kicking job was given to rookie kicker Stephen Gostowski. Shortly thereafter, Miller was reported to have injured his shoulder and the Patriots signed Danny Baugher as insurance.

On September 22nd, Gramatica signed with the Colts to back up Adam Vinatieri. Walter, a retired punter and longtime friend of Vinatieri, asked Adam to steal it back for him so that he could use it as leverage to resecure the Patriot's punting duties. Vinatieri was succesful in stealing the tape from Gramatica on October 3rd. Gramatica accused Adam of stealing the tape and he was released from the Colts the next day.

Todd Sauerbrun, who has had a long time feud with the Gramatica brothers, caught wind of the dispute and offered Vinatieri a large sum of money for the tape. Vinatieri, despite his friendship with Walter, opted for the money.

Walter continued to bluff that he had the tape and was signed out of retirement by the Patriots on November 22, 2006. Howerver, after Todd Sauerbrun contacted the Patriots in mid December, Walter was placed on IR on Dec 17th and Sauerbrun was signed 4 days later on Dec 22nd.

Sauerbrun, whose heart was always in Denver, managed to free himself of his NE contract on April 18th, 2007 thanks to winning a grievance filed by the NFL Players Association. Having gotten what he wanted, he mailed the tape to practice squad punter Danny Baugher.

Baugher looked to be the leading candidate for the Patriot's punting job for the 2008 season. However, Danny's father Erle found the tape. Erle, a chronic gambler, had ammassed considerable debt and was in trouble with several lone sharks. He sold the tape on August 28th to an NFL collector who subsequently contacted several punters to auction off the tape to the highest bidder.

Danny's distraught phone conversation with his dad later that day was overheard and the Patriots subsequently release him on the 29th. Later than night, in an angry drunken stuper, Danny punched his dad in the face and was charged with assault and battery.

Meanwhile, the NFL collector's auction was bid on by Tom Malone, Josh Miller, Chris Hanson, and several other no-talent punters. On August 30th, Chris Hanson won the auction and was signed by the Patriots the same day.

Based on recent transactions (or lack thereof), it appears that Chris Hanson is still in possession of the tape.

The organization knows as POOP lives on and the Patriot's punting is a constant reminder.

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

Okay I'm happy LOL

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

Man, some of these posts about our punters having the tape are hilarious. And personally, Casale can die in a fire house fire within sight of another fire house. I remember the Mrs. B incident last year, a leopard never changes their spots. I regret clicking on his blog and giving him a hit.

So where have you been since Smarkschoice?

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

I am actually glad to read this thread (well the majority of it) because most of you have made it pretty funny. But to go back to the start of this thread I am confused. What are the "SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS"??

Same people on the team are not best friends?
A grown man has sex?
There were rumors of a video tape os a football practice?

I am disapointed in the article (if you can call it that) but also in this thread title

Re: (Alleged ) Ex-Pats Employee is running his mouth- Claims serious allegations

The biggest thing he said, IMO, was that he has knowledge of the Rams walkthrough and that we're lucky he's in a good mood, otherwise he'll go to Spector with the information.

He erased the main part of the thread where he brings this up, but there's still fallout in the comments section.
