Most important player on our D, has to be signed like Branch was.

Andy Johnson if you think he's getting paid chandler Jones money than he's good as gone. He saw his market already. Teams ain't willing to give him big money.

So any news on high? Gotta keep this guy or we gonna have to look at a guy like zach brown. I haven't heard anything on him

Come on Bill....

Sign Hightower, keep Butler. Add another pass rusher!!

That will happen when you give 40m in guaranteed money to an outsider.

Lol. I doubt it. Completely different financial structures for different positions. Also, have to see what the three GTD money is. Might be half that as we've seen in numerous other "bombshell" contacts.

What else did he say when you spoke to him?

I am fine with Hightower plus most scenarios. Butler for Cooks, they can draft a CB and Cooks is as explosive as it gets. Keep Butler, unhappy but no leverage, his best move is to live off 4 million and play his @ss off. Butler remarkably signs elsewhere as a FA, they get a 1st. Hightower is the key, keep him and this offseason is going to be a big win.

Well the Browns had (have) so much money to spend they even bought a draft pick, so its fair to think they were in the market for Hightower trying to revive the best LB duo in the league now in Cleveland, so if they made an offer maybe he was not that interested in going into that dumpster fire?

I think no news means our chances have improved.

If someone is willing to pay chandler jones 17 mill a year who would no one be willing to pay Hightower more than 13?
I hope you are right but the contracts being offered say you can't touch Hightower for 13. He'll Jamie Collins got 12.5.

And in all honesty, Jamie Collins is worth the same amount as Hightower. They're are different players, but both bring a lot to the table with their respective skill sets.

People here seem to have the notion that Collins was dumped because he lost his abilities or got worse as a player. He's still the extremely gifted athlete he always was. He just wasn't doing what he was asked here. For many teams, I think they would rather have Collins then Hightower because of his athletic versatility, plus he isn't injured as often.

Collins still had 69 tackles, and 2 sacks this season in 8 games with the browns and a new team, thats still very impressive.

Considering he got 12.5 a year from a garbage teams with so much cap space, I don't think Hightower show get a penny more. Especially in the guaranteed area because of his injury concerns .
