That link written by Chad Finn on the Globe irks me because some reporters are STILL speculating about why the Pats pulled the trigger so soon on Cassel/Vrabel, and only for a second.

Have they not seen how many players we've signed, and how quickly we've moved on them?

Clearly timing was a huge factor for the Pats, who were not willing to wait.
