(According to “Dakota in Braintree”) Mayo legal action vs Kraft?

If true, this is a really bad move by Mayo. But, this seems to be par for the course with him.

He knew exactly what he was getting himself into when he took the job. He took it because he would've had to forfeit his rumored $10M buyout and ended up making a lot less in 2024. This is what he’s probably mad at.

Wilfork says he was set up to fail. If the roster were stacked, Bill would still be the coach. Lol.

Believe or not, just because players played the game, doesn’t mean they know X’s and O’s In fact, many don’t and only know their specific assignment as a player. He never showed this as an assistant to Bill which was a big concern to me.

Mayo was canned for many reasons. His lack of experience and X’s and O’s were glaring. He was babysat by Robin Glazer (who’s also gone) and had a very hard time putting a staff together. The weekly blunders with the media and constantly throwing players under the bus was another. The nail in the coffin was him trying to win a meaningless game which wrecked their draft position.

Easy way to burn every single bridge you might have to get back in the league,
I thought the same but then Flores. Still..he’s going to get paid regardless.

I really don't think Mayo has much of a case.. obviously I'm not a lawyer.. but the krafts have about 10 lawyers if not more for all thier businesses.. that contract he gave Mayo likely had a bunch of clauses in it to benefit ownership.

I have to think these NFL contracts are air tight. Flores filed a lawsuit but not against one specific team.

No one would dispute that New England has to pay Mayo the full value of the contract but beyond that, I’d be amazed to hear what (if any) basis for a lawsuit he has.

correct. As I've said Mayo's biggest fault is his own.. he controlled his own way.. he chose to forgo DC opportunities in order to stay here. I get that he was supposed to succeed Bill down the line.. but it never happened.. he should have gone the route that Vrabel went and came back.. he would have been in position to be a much better HC one day. He never engaged with his staff or players, never made adjustments, just pep talks . That works in pop Warner and HS not the pros Mayo!

Lol when I saw Flores’s name I had a crazy but frightening thought..hopefully Mayo has no texts from the Krafts about tanking the last game ala Stephen Ross. Bad time to lose draft picks…

One thing is for certain: if this ever did go to court it sure as heck would be fun to hear all the dirty laundry that got aired out (from both sides). We could never be that lucky!!

Meh, Dakota in Braintree is no Butch From The Cape.

whats he gonna sue him for? Not giving him "three years" to figure out how to be a head coach?

any damage done to his reputation was done by himself in taking a job he knew we wasn't prepared for...

Hope he does sue... and when Kraft wins, Mayo is forced to pay his legal bills...
Mayos ego and pride is why he's suing.. like dude.. you had an opportunity handed to you that many don't get. Had you been better prepared and the team showed progress you'd be looked at differently..
