A question on my mind virtually every day [Would BB draft Maye]

And O’Brien is friends with Belichick. And his counter was the Belichick was in the QB room at times, but focused more on the o-line. So I don’t know who to believe on this. I am sure the truth is somewhere in the middle and Belichick was not very commutative with Jones but didn’t stop talking to him all together.
If you write off the people in the room as friends and only go by the news reports then you get the biased click bait side and will wind up with a fake news haters take.

I think doubt had started to creep in, especially after that opening day loss. The loss the next week against the Jets was also ugly, and they grossly underperformed (they didn't even score a TD that day) which at 0-2, and looking as bad as they had at the end of 2000, I remember one of the writers I talked to back then inferring that there was some doubt. The turning point was obviously the next week when they put up 44 at home against Indy, and then won again in front of the fans in OT two weeks later. That was when some of it quieted and it felt like there would be some patience after seeing the way Brady was playing.
In other words Brady playing great saved Belichick's job?

I'm just so glad that Brady came in even as a 6th round pick with the confidence and determination to prove everybody wrong. It's not an easy task to overtake an established 1st round pick at QB who is already playoff proven.

This is the problem with this country. Whenever there is news they don't like, they label it "fake news" or "click bait". Mark Daniels is not a reporter I would ever consider to be a reporter who would manufacture anonymous sources for click bait.

Again, I dismissed both O'Brien and the Daniels story in my post. I said the truth is probably somewhere in between what O'Brien said and the Daniel report.

Belichick would have passed on Maye. Any other opinion is cult garbage.

Bill would have drafted the best player at 3.

Either you don't think Maye was the best player or you are a hater.

Bill would have kept Bailey Zappe over Maye.

And some call this guy the greatest of all time. Yikes!
