I run into the same push-back.

A true test to confirm if someone is a movie aficionado is if they have have watched TBL a minimum of 3 times. Once or twice is not enough to REALLY understand the characters and take in the comedic brilliance.

It's OK if they don't like it, but it must be appreciated as an absolute neo-noir masterpiece.

Nope.

We all have busy lives, priorities, and tastes. I certainly have never seen shows & movies i'm sure someone of my age and tastes should have seen by now ("The Office", "Mad Men", etc).

Obviously some of us are huge fans of TBL but it's not for everyone. My wife has seen it 3 times and it's just not her thing- which is totally fine. She made the effort. Just like I do with her rom-coms

It's interesting how some movies like TBL and Shawshank weren't regarded as hits when they were playing in theaters but over time have become cult classics and also in the category of the greatest movies ever made.

Ruined is a bit strong. Sales were down 20% but now they are down 10% from pre-backlash.

Going on year 3 and It aint over. INBEV is devoting less marketing revenue to try and resurrect the brand. While BL is no longer sinking it has not recovered to where it was which is why I state that the brand is ruined.

Americans are famously forgetful about why they were originally pissed off, especially when the swill they crave to drown out the noise of life hits a price point that is lower than other similar $hitty beer brands.

I never got why BL was the # 1 beer in the first place.

I worked with a guy from Ireland one summer and he cursed BL. The Irish lad was not even a Guinness man either. Last week, I was watching a video on youtube about hitting the dive bars in Belfast, Ireland and low and behold a couple of pubs had BL tappers beside the Guinness.
