A BIG thank you to Peter King, ESPN

The Patriots have made the superbowl on their own merit, but it always help to have some bulletin board material to drive a team. But what ESPN and Peter King have done goes beyond that. This past week will GALVANIZE this team, organization, and fan base. Nothing like calling you a bunch of cheaters to devalue the work that you have done all year.

For that, I thank them. The Patriots would have been prepared for the SB. But this week will pour just enough salt in the wound to add that element of anger/edginess. Truly "us against the world". Can't wait for the boys to lay down the lumber.

If we're going to start thanking all the a**holes, I'd like to thank the reported who asked the spygate question yesterday, without which we would not have heard that spectacular answer from Bill. (And I believe that answer went a long way to curbing continued spygate talk too).

This is a really great and original point and it never occurred to me that the Patriots could use this past week's event as motivation.
