They were down 25, with Brady, before the comeback began.
Brady's first half contributed to that deficit Deus. It's also unfair to compare JAG, at the beginning of his career to Brady, the GOAT, toward the end of his.

And JAG's first half would have contributed to the deficit if he'd been under center. He wasn't going to be better than Brady.

No, it's not, and saying it is makes no sense at all. Did you, maybe, jump into this without reading the thread, and take things out of context?

I read the thread and I read your comments, I just don't agree with you. Sure Brady makes up for what people consider deficient talent but I'm also of the belief that some times, hard work, a commitment to excellence, and fantastic coaching can bridge that gap.

As for JAG, it's not unreasonable to say he wasn't going to be better than Brady but that's not exactly a watershed moment given we're comparing a back-up with potential starter value to the greatest to ever play the position. There's nothing untrue about the statement Brady played a poor first half, because he did.

You obviously didn't read the thread. If you had, you wouldn't have made the JAG comment, because your JAG comment was absolutely nonsensical, in context.

This team's offensive talent, outside of Brady, gets consistently overrated. Put Jimmy in the SB and the Patriots lose by 40. And that's no shot at JAG.

Brady is just that good.

I see where you're trying to go. I'll just finish up by saying that, IMO, if you think JAG wasn't getting picked more than once with the way those two teams were playing early on, and you think JAG was going to be as successful throwing into the micro-windows Brady was forced to hit, you're giving JAG way too much credit. And, again, that's not meant as a knock on JAG, who's a guy with less than half a season's worth of total career playing time under his belt at this point.

Yes Deus, everyone who doesn't agree with you hasn't read the thread or doesn't know anything worth a damn. We get it.

It's pretty obvious that you didn't read the thread, in this case. You:

Me, earlier in the thread:

It's pretty obvious in this case:
You, me, and nobody else knows how the Patriots would have played the Falcons if he were under center. Throwing in your qualifying points on JAG is inconsequential considering Brady's first half performance was poor.

JAG's the backup. Citing to him in comparison made perfect sense, because he's the guy who'd have been in had Brady not been playing. You didn't bother to read the thread, and now you're just doubling down instead of admitting your error. Quit being a dumbass.

We're done here.

No, we're not done here, we're not done at all. I read the thread, I understood the thread so you can shove your quasi-intellectual passive-aggressive ********.

Throwing in remarks like the Patriots would lose 40-0 with JAG at QB then qualifying it's not a knock on JAG because he's early in his career is rubbish. It's a ridiculous premise because you, me or anyone else doesn't know how the game would have played out. You don't know how the Patriots would have attacked the Falcons, would they have gone an extra linemen and played run heavy to settle JAG into the game, would have they called easier passes rather than needing him to be as accurate as Brady? WE DON'T KNOW.

Of course there would have been a drop off because JAG is not Brady but Brady did not play a good first half. Hell, even Brady has admitted as much.
