Is anyone else starting to think BB is leaning towards DMC as CB2 ?

I think it's a combination of (1) BB's confidence in Harmon/Chung/Richards and (2) lack of confidence in the CBs...

I think that Belichick wants to get McCourty some more practice at CB for flexibility reasons

People (outside this fan base) can say whatever they want about BB and the way he conducts his business.

Truth : when BB CUTS and trades players - they still love him ! Sure, maybe Seymour and a few others are hurt at first - but they always calm down and stick with coach. To me, this speaks of his professional approach and his no nonsense attitude.

No, he is too good at FS to do that and Brown/Butler should be good enough. Also he wants to give Richards/Wilson/Harmon extended looks while he can.

It probably benefits McCourty too to practice CB more than S cause i doubt he can get much better at S then he already is.

Maybe so he has a more intricate look how the corner plays in this new defense to teach him what they will be doing so he knows what to expect from them on the field?

McCourty had some man coverage responsibilities last year too, just not that often with Revis and Browner. I'm sure his primary position will still be FS, but there are going to be certain situations and matchups where they'll feel he's better suited down low. Right now they're trying to figure out who gets the snaps at FS when these situations occur. That's my theory anyway.
