He's the better version and modern day Lombardi.

I haven't been able to figure out a past comparable to Brady. Here's a couple:

Ruth
DiMaggio
Williams
Russell

I mean it's hard. He's almost a story upon himself with no comparables. If we have a society in 50 years, people will be in awe of those who saw him play. Much like Ruth, DiMaggio...

It's absolutely ****ing insane what he and Brady have done in the salary cap era, where if you win, you're supposed to suck for a few years after. People in the future will regret not seeing this.

Roger Goodell does not like this post... but he will talk to Cam Newton about how "unfair" the league is to Cam.

I think Bobby Orr is a great comparison also, on and off the field/rink.

Johnny Unitas was the Brady of my youth. Drafted by Pittsburg and cut in training camp. Played semi pro and picked up by Baltimore. Played with a chip on his shoulder. Put into game due to starter George shaw's injury, played at the highest level for 15 years, always in the playoff hunt, although a different era. Mutilple mvps, multiple NFL championships and many qb records at the time including one that was just broken by Brees and almost by Brady.

This is partly why I want to let him play as long as he can. If can stay great while adding freakish longevity he will become mythical even while still on the field.

To be fair, Cam wasn't talking about blows he sustains when out of the pocket (such as the one against Atlanta on the goal line). Only those he sustains while in the pocket that don't get called. And he's absolutely right.

Kontra, I don't like your avatar at all.

Pass me a Kleenex.

It reminds me of Roger Goodell and how he'd handle a meeting with the NE Patriots. He'd probably bash Gronk's head in..........

Nah they'd attack Roger and throw him in with the bildo...Not like he's any better than one.
