I can’t stop laughing at the Jones INT I mean what the actual **** was that. Have the guy for the TD and you lob it off your back foot with no one in your face

he looked in pain at the end... i thought it could have just been emotional anguish at how bad he played, but there were signs he was dealing with something

either way hes done
I thought his ankle got tweaked on an early sack.

Maybe they're trying to spare Mac's feelings by going the "injured" route?

He's got a week to think about it.

His pride (hubris?) won't allow him to do that, though.
More importantly, if he gets fired, he almost certainly gets paid. If he resigns/retires, he doesn't.

That said, I think Kraft wants things to end amicably, whenever the end comes. I don't know how that happens, but look at the celebration they're planning for Brady next summer. I think the Krafts want to do something similar for Belichick, but I don't see how that happens if they fire him.

BSN postgame universally agreed that Mac is "the worst qb in the league." I've been a Pats fan for decades: never seen it worse, nor such a breadth of problems. NOTHING is worth a damn on the team, is there?
I dont think I've ever seen a pass that bad in my life, guy wide open and he throws it to the other team and the defense was way out of position.

Well it was such a bizarre game and ending that all I could do was laugh.

I was joking about the Mac-Ception but unfortunately Mac Jones answered the call and threw a horribly underthrown interception at the worst possible moment in the game to lose it for us!

He now leads the entire NFL in Interceptions with 10 until someone else can beat him.

The late game switch to Bailey Zappe with 2 minutes to go felt bizarre.

It feels like the coaching staff literally got fed up with Mac Jones and said, ok Zappe you're in.

The last drive of the game with no timeouts with 2 minutes to go.

It actually started pretty well and we moved the ball down the field with Zappe.

But then the Fake SPIKE play? A really bizarre play and it feels like it was in the gameplan or called on the headset by BOB.

Because I find it really hard to believe that a backup QB with no snaps under his belt would have the balls to freelance call a fake spike play.

Now even assuming that the fake spike was called by BOB, Zappe should not have forced the throw into triple coverage.

If you see nothing there, you throw the ball way out of bounds and live to fight another day.

We're going into the BYE week and this very LATE substitution of Mac Jones with just 2 minutes to go, well to me it spells the END of the Mac Jones era.

Whether it's Zappe, Cunningham, or Grier. I feel like we're going to see a new starting QB for week 12.

Anyways all I could do was laugh in disbelief at the end of this game. The New England Patriots are just finding more ways to lose. What a bizarro game!

2-8. BB has CLEARLY run this franchise into the ground! Nuff said.

Ehhh. We all decline in time and become unsuited to our life's work, a sad but universal fate. Let he who is immune to the ravages of time cast the first stone.
He has made 100s of millions of dollars in this game. He has led a life that 99.9% of us would kill for

People act like teams have never fired a long-time legendary coach. It's happened and they're still revered by the team that got rid of them when their time was done.

There's really no point in waiting to fire BB. This team is absolutely done. The players will not care about BB's mantra's anymore.
We will literally go 2-15 this year if all stays the same. So, I think BB needs to step down now.
Let BOB or Mayo or whomever take over interim. And sadly, Mac is toasted. It's too late to correct his mental abyss.
So, I'm all for new start with Grier and Malik taking it from here out. Make the tank fun

I hoped for the best for Mac going into this season but I give up; he just is not NFL QB material. He is the anti Brady. Whereas Brady, Matrix-like, made the game slow down as the pressure built Mac does just the opposite. It's like his mind can't process at game speed and inside the 20 the game is going past him at relativistic rates.
This was obvious from year 1 from the complete lack of confidence the draft walk invoked, the constant panic in the face of the rush, the over the top crying from an ankle sprain to the weak passes and complete lack of clutch/game winning drives/plays.

Amazing how an entire fan base would blind believe rather than just see what's very obvious in front of them.

Got to be rough. Hearing for 20 years that Bill's magic system is the only system in the NFL that can win with anybody and then for reality to hit so hard!
??

Patriot fans have been arguing against this for 20 years.

I'm sure Belichick knows exactly what he has in Mac Jones

After the change from Kosar to Testaverde the Browns went from 5-8 to 9-4. He knows.

When they were around the 20 on Macs last drive I turned to my wife and said how does Mac **** this drive up? An interception or a fumble?
Don't leave us hanging. What did your wife say?
