Harder than 2025 was for sure but is it really that scary? The Jets and Dolphins probably won't be competitive this season. I’m glad we play GB, Min and Den at home. Seahawks on the road will be very tough. I can see the SB rematch being a prime time game as will one of the Bills games. I’m not that concerned about the Pats in Arrowhead and I’m not sure if the Chiefs will be that good in 2026 anyway. Pats can win in Detroit and Jax. Bears might be a sneaky tough road game.

Not gonna predict records yet but assuming good health I can’t see the Pats faceplanting against this schedule like many think we will.

There is a strong chance that NE plays Jax in London.

Jax has 2 games there and their stadium is being renovated.

This has to be a top 5 hardest schedule in the league. Though I didn't look at any other teams' schedules.
Not including the division, there are zero games to check off as wins on the road. Even then, it's always tough to win in Miami but looks like they are rebuilding (we'll see how they do in FA) but have 6 draft picks in the top 111. I know this because I think if the Pats want to trade down a bit, Miami is the perfect team. They have three 3rd rounders and may want to get back into the first round. This way the Pats could have 2 picks in rounds 2, 3 and 4. Good way to add depth and ammo to move up in the 4th with four 6th rounders to move up into the 5th.

Its tough but alot can happen between now and the season and oftentimes schedules end up easier than initially thought.

Even if it is as tough as it looks, if we make the necessary upgrades that we should i still see a successful 2026. Some of our best regular seasons have come against brutal schedules, 07 and 10 come to mind. Make our team strong and bring these bastards on!

Yeah, I don’t see any reason to fear the schedule, at least until we see the actual dates and times in May. The Pats should be able to go toe-to-toe with any team in the league if things go well in the offseason. Quite frankly, I like the schedule. Most of the games should be competitive and exciting.

I could see 8-0 at home, the road schedule is daunting but overall, slightly easier than Bills schedule and that's the only competition for the division.
Very good chance Jets and Dolphins will be worse than any other 2 teams in any division.

Add Jets and Dolphins on road and the home schedule 10 wins is likely. The other 7 road games will determine how much above 10 wins.
Seattle at Seattle as hard as it gets.
The other 6 are all expected to be good teams.

As always Sb.. speaking the real... I've said myself we've been hearing "tough schedules " since the mid 2000s... every year... its never about the opposing teams it's always going to be about the Patriots and how they execute. We saw a team that was well coached and got better as the season went on and really established themselves against amongst the AFC.

With a better roster and depth..a more experienced Drake, 2nd year in a McDaniels offense i see this team right back into contention next season..

What does faceplanting against the schedule really mean? Losing record?

I'm thinking 6 wins would be a faceplant . I think if you make the SB and you really have a good young team on the rise barring injuries you really should not have a losing record at all.

Vegas has us at 9.5 wins?

Yeah I'd rather have our schedule (with Seahawks, Broncos and Jax) than the Bills (with Rams, Chargers and Houston)

Everyone talks about a hard schedule which it is but the Patriots are going to be favored in every home game except Buffalo which is going to be close to a pick or a couple of points either way depending on how the teams start the season.

The Dolphins are gutting their team and the Jets have no QB and aren't close, that's a real chance to get 4 wins if you don't drop a game you shouldn't.

Just win those games and suddenly your path looks so much easier to a good season when you see you only have to go 6-7/7-6 against everyone else to get to 10/11 wins.

Throw in the Raiders game and that’s 5 wins that should be definite. Split the other 12 to get to 11-6.

I bet when the dust settles it will ultimately be 'a normal schedule' but it only looks hard because 2025 was historically bad.

Let's put it this way, SIX of our games were against teams in the top 6 of the draft order!

It's not necessarily "scary". But there's a lot of games that are uncertain.

-Bills will still be tough
-Broncos with their QB with that defense will be tough
-Packers will be tough
-Vikings are not great but they are a question mark and I consider them better than most teams e played last regular season
-Chargers on the road is tough
-Chiefs have downsloped but they could bounce back and you can't count them out
-Seahawks at their house is brutal
-Bears are as good as any team we played besides Seattle last year.
-Jags if they stay at the same level are also a tough game.
-Lions are tough

Those are 12 games that I would generally consider an uplevel from our average competition last season. I could very easily see a slip back.

Right - I mean which other fan bases thought they should be fearing the New England Patriots last season!

They're playing a good portion of the playoff teams this season so nothing easy about it.

But do we think they can beat any team in the playoffs? Yes we do!

They won't win them all and I'm not expecting to see them have as good a record this season, but they'll be a much more seasoned team for having to play at a high level all season.

I think that's the same secret to this team's success. They generally played at a high level all this season - They had to since they were a rebuilt team being led by a near rookie QB.

Though that team didn't have the same talent or experience that next season's team will either - and they saw how far that got them.

They should feel very confident knowing that as an improved team with an added year of experience that if they play at the same high level this season, there's also no one they can't beat.

Some of you need to take a chill pill. When I said it looks like the Pats have a top 5 toughest schedules, I only went by what the other teams records were and how we stack up in our division. It's a fact that we play a tough schedule. Just look at it. And no where was I crying about it or made it seem like a daunting task or anything. Relax and enjoy the games. I guess we'll see for sure where we wind up but some pundits won't have the excuse of "oh they didn't play anyone in the regular season".
Also, I meant that we need to stock back up again and add depth. How often do teams not lose several starters for the year. We only lost a few (important) players for a few weeks. We had good fortune that most teams don't have, hence we need more good players.

I definitely think we proved ourselves as far as afc elite in the playoffs. Everyone is going to be remembering the sb and saying we were exposed or something , i just think Seattle is that good and we need improvements to get on that level.

But we proved through the postseason by handling 2 very good teams in Houston/lac, winning in Denver , and our matchups with buffalo that no afc team is superior to us as we stand. I think most of these games in 26 id feel pretty confident going into and if we do bolster interior ol/edge/lb along with some depth pieces and maybe one more passing weapon we are going to be really freaking good, maybe tops in the nfl.
