We all should be positive.. for me my guy I don't care about other teams I care about our team.. the team is fresh off a superbowl in wich we, nor probably the organization even thought was attainable this soon. The team is constructed to be contender.. your right getting through camp and the 53 absolutely correct.. however I'm simply talking about the team knowing that the first opponent come week 1 is against the very team that they last walked off the field against Drake was even very emotional himself.. In my humble opinion that should fuel them all during the offseason for added motivation.. but as usual I see what you're saying and it's very sensible and logical!im not worried about being positive at this point, nor the strengths / weaknesses of our opponents... Camp etc still has to run its course... we don't even know who will be on the 53... and the other teams are in the same boat... too many variables between now and the start of the season...
Its more about figuring out the advantages and disadvantages the schedule brings to us... things like the bye week (after germany i am assuming), how many teams we face coming off a bye week, how many national games, how many 1 pm starts, how many weeks in a row are we on the road vs how many times we have a multi-game homestand... when are the division games etc... things like that
Every team is going to have one international game a year. Right now half the league has one for the upcoming season. The goal is to get 16 international games on the book for all the teams. Not thrilled about having to do an international game, but Germany isn’t so bad as far as options go, and if it counts as an away game instead of a home game, it helps too. If it does mean a week 11 bye, that’s pretty good timing for it.
Seattle could be a good or bad thing.I don't hate having Seattle week one. They have all summer to get ready for the Seahawks. They can fly to and from Seattle without a major disruption in schedule with a long lag time after the game to get back and get over jet lag. Week one teams typically are shaking off rust which is a good point to meet a team like the Seahawks. A lot of upsets week one.
The biggest downsides is if the Pats have a slow start this year like last year and of course the Seahawks and their fans being hyped up from raising the banner.
As for Germany game, if the Pats are going to have an overseas game I think the location and timing is probably the best. It is later mid season so it will give them a rest right before the final stretch of the season assuming they have the bye the following week. It isn't a Thanksgiving game (so it won't conflict with dinner). And Germany will be a home crowd for the Patriots because Kraft has spent a lot of effort in building a fan base in Germany.
Imo eventually London will get one. They would love for the NFL to take over a major European city for a week and have the teams and names plastered everywhere for visibility.I'm waiting for the league to announce a Super Bowl location overseas. Only a matter of time.

And the Seahawks are worse on paper after losing some key players.
I really don't get the Ravens love... they missed the playoffs last year and have a rookie HC instead of Harbaugh.Seahawks one of five teams projected by Las Vegas at 10.5 games, behind Rams and Ravens at 11.5
Pats are at 9.5.
I will take it. Jacksonville is definitely more temperate than Miami. It will also be getting into late September by that point.I thought there would be a Pats @ Miami game in September but now I don't think so since they're in Jax in week 3. Week 2 has to be a division home game right? ... Maybe Miami visits us then. I'd take that over them playing in the Miami heat in September. Jax is hot in September but I don't think it's Miami level heat...
They wont do that because they’d lose the prime time slot on Sunday evening. They don’t want a Super Bowl to start at 2:00 Eastern.I'm waiting for the league to announce a Super Bowl location overseas. Only a matter of time.
