DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft: Day 2

There goes Chris Brazzell to the Panthers.

He almost said Chris Bell.

Deontae Lawson maybe. Could trade down.

Just looked at the clip on Gabe and liked what I saw. He has a nice burst off the edge. He can put his hand in the dirt and rush like a LB from 2 pts. But most importantly he can set the edge and be a 3 down player down the road. I get people getting fired up for guys like RMasom, and Cassius. They both have explosive speed and bend and will test pass protectors. However, they both are currently liabilities in the run game and thus would be one trip ponies. At least in their first few years in the league. Gabe has some power and heft and at 265 be effective on inside loops and setting the edge.

I think this kind of versatility makes him the better pick over those 2. The only question is, did we give up too much to move up. Seems like those in the know think it wasn't a good deal for us but was fair by whatever metrics draftniks use to assess trades. TE is clearly the next choice. Though the small school S that a lot of people had going in the first, WAS pretty tempting.
I'm hoping he turns into a Willie McGinest type of player. He might not make any All Pro teams but just a solid good football player who comes through in the clutch.

Zachariah Branch to the falcons
Branch being ranked by some as a high 2nd was ambitious to me. But a 3rd round prospect surprised me. And I don't think it has to due with his misdemeanor arrest. I think they just didn't like his game all that much.

Hurst and Bell still there. This might warrant a trade up.

Hate Tennessee WR's yuck.

With what? (And no... I don't want to burrow from 2027. And it is too late to trade Boutte IMO.

If the Pats package 171 191 and 198 they can move up right now... but that be their whole draft pretty much.

12 more picks.

10 guys I'd be happy with at 95:

- RB Mike Washington
- WR Chris Bell
- WR Ted Hurst
- IOL Emmanuel Pregnon
- IDL Kaleb Proctor
- EDGE DDS
- LB/S Kyle Louis
- S Keionte Scott
- CB Devin Moore

I was one of the few who were NOT in on Roush.. Delp and then Kacmarek were my 3rd/5th round picks for TE.
HOLY SH!T.....We actually agree on something. I want no part of Roush. His ceiling is pretty low. Just a jag type.

Of course, now I need to question if I'm mistaken. Can I ask you a serious question? Has there ever been a single time in your life where you were right about anything?

There goes Ted Hurst to the Bucs. I was wondering if they'd look to add a replacement for Mike Evans to develop behind Godwin.

With what? haha
I like Hurst but not if the plan is to trade for Brown. Need to TE here. Or CB if Scott is available. Another guy who's falling far lower than he should.

Even blind squirrels find a nut now and then. Be happy for yourself

Wow, how many picks did the squealers have in the third round?
