DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft: Day 2

Bills draft so far is nothing to write home about

My Pats if they stay at 63

Pregnon, McCoy, Scott or maybe Crawford.... but Crawford is a drop off from Jacas. It wouldn't have been a bad board. Not saying i am mad they pick Jacas. But not bad.

Who would you have taken in this universe? I would say screw it and take McCoy.

Overall draft grade for this year so far is good. B+ on both picks. Hit needs and both were worth the pick and trade capital. Overall the key to the draft is usually your first 2 picks... hard to not call it a success based off how they played out.

The only reason it isn't in the A range is I don't believe either were steals for their draft pick slots. And the fact we went into the draft with such glaring needs forced our hand a bit, which i didn't like.
I think they have to be viewed in context. Pats were disadvantaged because they played in the Super Bowl hence were picking last in each round. Both prospects were rated in the top tier at their positions, both were highly valued positions that were positions of need for the Pats, and they were the last remaining players in those top tiers when the Pats traded up to pick them.

I can understand not rating them as A+ values because the cost was not greatly below market value, but they had high market value and the Pats did not overpay.

Bills love spending all their draft capital on a defense that can't stop a nosebleed ever in a playoff game when it matters for pretty much 7 years.

A typical BB draft would be trade down 3 times and take 2 unathletic small school football players nobody heard of. Plus One of them has to be an undersized DB from Rutgers for some reason.

This year's draft made a lot more sense. We had some clear needs. We targeted them and we moved up to address those needs with players that we liked better than other options.
That’s LITERALLY what the Bills have done so far. Trade down repeatedly, then reach.

Wtf are you talking about? He was very close to BPA and he filled the biggest remaining need.
You always take the guy in that situation.
Yes he was pretty close. He was on my short board. I had him maybe 5th BPA at the time. Which is fine. I am just not going to say it was a slam dunk NEED + BPA when it wasn't. That's all. Not trying to be negative. As I said.. I think it was a good pick. I gave the first and second pick both B+ grades.

Everyone’s passing on McCoy. Those Medicals have to be bad.

Boerkircher to the Jags is head-scrarching...

Jacas is good. I love the stance theyre taking.

McCoy is a tempting option on paper.
