When you have two stud DT’s (Barmore/Williams) who require double teams and can still pressure despite double teams you can rush 4 more often than not.

You truly saw the kind of pressure this defense could generate in the postseason when they dialed up more pressure.

Unless their fathers &/or grandfathers also played in the league, then I don't give a ****ing rat's ass how many Roman ****ing numerals they place after their names... Yet the league wouldn't allow Laurent Duvernay-Tardif to place a Dr in front of his? ****ing hypocrites.

Fern Mendozza is not signed and the LA Rams 1st pick Bama QB Ty Simpson aint signed either.

Tough decision. I don't think Stroud is elite, and they could end up with a better QB by making that deal, but they have a phenomenal defense, and are a playoff team right now. So it comes down to the money. I would make the deal, trade for a veteran QB like Cousins, and use the 2 first round picks to get a top QB in this draft. I think paying Stroud is like paying Tua, long term it makes no sense.

It all depends on if the Jets are trying to tank this season. Looking at their roster, I think they are, and I don't expect them to change strategy during camp - they signed Geno Smith for one reason: to lose.

They have 3 first-round picks in 2027, and if they tank, their own could be #1, and if not, they have plenty of draft stock to move up to grab the QB of the future they want - which may be Arch Manning, according to salivating Jets fans.

It's a deep draft at QB next year with 5-6 QBs potentially going in the first round. That makes it easier for the Jets, who have 10 picks in total next year, to move up if they don't get the top spot, and they have 3 first round picks in 2028 to trade as well.

So I see no incentive for the Jets to "win now" and in fact their biggest worry is the the Fins will tank even worse and get the top pick.

I agree. Or if they were hypothetically interested in dealing Stroud earlier in the offseason, maybe they could’ve signed Kyler Murray for $1.3 million (or somewhere around there), acquired 2 firsts & waited to draft a top QB.

Seems that taking advice from college coaches landed us a HOFer
But belichick was supposed to let the scouts tell him who to pick.

Trust me when I tell you this, the Jets are one franchise that does not have to try to suck, it's their superpower.
