It all depends on if the Jets are trying to tank this season. Looking at their roster, I think they are, and I don't expect them to change strategy during camp - they signed Geno Smith for one reason: to lose.
They have 3 first-round picks in 2027, and if they tank, their own could be #1, and if not, they have plenty of draft stock to move up to grab the QB of the future they want - which may be Arch Manning, according to salivating Jets fans.
It's a deep draft at QB next year with 5-6 QBs potentially going in the first round. That makes it easier for the Jets, who have 10 picks in total next year, to move up if they don't get the top spot, and they have 3 first round picks in 2028 to trade as well.
So I see no incentive for the Jets to "win now" and in fact their biggest worry is the the Fins will tank even worse and get the top pick.
