2026 Draft: Tight Ends

What's the over/under on how many TEs are taken in this year's draft? I think we see 22.

I'll take the under but only just. I could see some slipping into UDFA.

Max Klare is going on my board as an option for pick 63. Watch his Purdue tape. His athleticism is a step above anyone not called Sadiq or Delp. Very smooth mover.. I think he's an ideal Henry future replacement. He also offers YAC, something I believe Vrabel wants. As for run blocking, he's on a par with Will Kacmarek and only Carsen Ryan and Nate Boerkircher grade higher than him among draftable TEs.

Julian Hill has obviously been signed to be the Hooper replacement, Klare would get a year to develop behind Henry and work on his blocking.

Watch these Purdue highlights and pay attention to his athleticism. Also make sure to watch the move he puts on a DB at 2:17.

Here's former NFL Te and TE's coach on Klare.

"Where he is elite...is at the top of the route. He does a great job of getting in and out of breaks, creating separation".

The longer form of this video graded Klare at 10/10 for separation skills.

Because Sadiq will be gone long before 31, it's Oscar Delp who should be the choice (even if they have to move up in the 2nd or 3rd Round to get him (as he might not make it to the 3rd Round (even if after making a pick in the 2nd, we move back into the 2nd to get him). He's a solid receiving TE right out of the gate, and was instrumental as a run blocker at Georgia. Basically, a Hunter Henry who can run block and has upside as a pass protector.

Oscar Delp. Might have to grab him in the 2nd Round. Or, if after picking in the 2nd Round, we'll have to trade back into the 2nd to get him. He's a Hunter Henry who was an important part of Georgia's Run Game because of his Run Blocking, but has upside as a Pass Blocker.

It was Manx, but I agree. 25 is almost 1 per team, and 10% of all drafted players.

I ran the PFSN Simulator - Consensus - 10 times (Fast/Med/Slow).

# of TE's chosen - 17/18/18/19/20/19/17/19/17.

There were not a lot of TE's taken in 6th & 7th rounds - 1-3 with 4 take once. Simulator generally picks in ranked order with randomness more the later in draft.

Need to check this one out.

For right now, the guys who interest me:

1. Kenyon Sadiq
2. Eli Stowers
3. Sam Roush
4. Max Klare (mainly because of Manx)
5. Oscar Delp
6. Jaren Kanak
7. Dallen Bentley
8. Justin Joly

Hibner a sleeper so far.
