Doesn't he own the Cs..

Bourne can't be part of the future when there are so many youngsters with potential. Douglas has shown that he is a Qualified NFL starter in the slot. But, sure, someone could beat him out. I don't see how someone would demonstrate that he was much better than Douglas in the slot based on Training Camp and a couple of joint practices.

PICK ONE OR TWO
---------------------
Polk
Boutte
Baker
Bourne is 29...two years younger then Diggs and Hollins, but they are the future? Bourne had his best season with McDaniels in 2021 with 800 yds receiving. Bourne has the most career receiving yards out of anyone on the team not named Diggs. Bourne knows the offense. Bourne is healthy.

Actually- glad you asked. I watched a lot of Buffalo’s games last year and- this is before the Pats signed him- he was the player that impressed me the most. This guy is soooo much better than people realize. One of my favorite players to watch last year.
Hollins caught a sweet TD vs KC in the 2024 playoffs. Long bomb too which jives with Maye's skillset because he has the cannon like Josh Allen. UNC grad too which may bode well working with Maye.

Hollins is 6' - 4" and if Im not mistaken, the tallest WR on the NE roster. He has fumbled 1 time in 9 NFL seasons. He has not missed a game due to injury in over 5 seasons. Hollins is just one of those WRs who everyone forgets about until he is making a crucial 1st down or a TD. 5 TDs in 2024 from 50 targets is great return on investment. Not one NE WR, RB or TE had 5 receiving TDs last season.

Hollins will be 32 as the 2025 NFL season kicks off and this could be his final curtain call.

Well Zuma we have Hollins so I'm not sure he'll make the team... do you think diggs has a chance to sniff the roster.. mean with Hollins in all..

He also is the only WR skilled to do the dirty work of blocking and playing on special teams. He knows the offense's base. He is on the roster.

I think Diggs may not be 100% game 1. Williams is a rookie and hasn't even had a single practice yet. It's a long way from now to the 1st game...injuries can happen. I don't know how both Boutte and Bourne make the team but at least they have been productive with Maye and McDaniels...We can't say the same regarding Diggs, Williams, Hollins, Polk, Baker.

I am literally doing this for argument sake.

Lots of NE WR trade rumors and Bourne, Baker and Boutte are mentioned.

I thought that Boutte showed something late last season. The only WR with any real value is Bourne.

Was watching some patiots stuff last night
Mike reiss seems to think that if Williams, which we except has a grasp of the offense from day 1 he could make a veteran expendable. I'm thinking it will be between KB, Hollins and Boutte. Polk isn't getting cut no way they give up on him yet.. when N'Keal Harry and Tyquan Thornton lasted 3 seasons.
Polk hasn’t been drafted by Vrabel. If he can’t play, Vrabel will cut him without thinking twice about it.

I'm just simply saying we have to look at the factors. Williams I love his game.. but is a rookie.. will have to catch up to where veterans are that are already here. To start the season I can see a mix of Diggs, pop, Boutte with Williams brought along gradually. If Williams is starting week one then it's only a good thing.
Four rookies added, Bourne unless traded is ahead of Boutte on the depth chart. Boutte is a decent possession receiver but nothing special.

I do hear your point. But it's too soon to give up on him. Let's see what camp brings.. if it appears he won't make the cut then decide then... Polk was the best WR all Last training camp... to end up where he is now is just odd.

Perfectly put. The rookie factor is real.. Hollins has a shot due to being coaches at McDaniels. Wolf mentioned diggs still being limited.. but he's a veteran and a gamer.. injuries are part of the game sadly.. also have to take into account guys are going to have to be route technician to get open against gonzo and Davis..

KB has been allegedly on the trade block since last season.. remember he was included in the ayuik proposal...

It's not even a discussion, it's these 6: Diggs, Pop, Williams, Bourne, Boutte, Hollins
Polk will be PUPed or IRed (only way is if Diggs or Hollins go down or start on PUP)
Baker & Jiles cut (PS'd if they can)
Chism is a wildcard - and they'll try to bury him to sneak onto the PS.

Hollins is going nowhere. He is likely to be a Day One starter.

Both Bourne and Boutte are very vulnerable. After all, if Douglas is our slot WR, then they are basically competing for the POSSIBLE sixth WR roster spot with Baker.

Diggs, Hollins, Williams, Douglas, Polk

He'll make the team.. and your right as he has experience with Josh. Pop is.. definitely our slot. i see us ccarrying 6.. here's how it will go..

diggs
pop
Williams
Boutee
Hollins
Polk

Kb gets traded, Baker is on the PS he won't count against the active roster. Right now we have 83 players on the roster.
