2025 Rookie Minicamp

With regards to Henderson, remember that Jayden Higgins just signed a fully guaranteed contract which I suspect has upset things as regards the contract negotiations for those at the top of the 2nd round.

Another top second rounder gets a fully guaranteed contract. I suspect they'll have to give something similar to Henderson.

Fullback anyone?

Binky

Neither has Will Campbell. I haven’t heard any news about Woodson either so maybe he’s like Henderson.

It might be an ‘insurance’ thing though, doesn’t want to risk injury with no contract in place. Shemar Stewart wan’t present for his rookie camp and that was the reason given. I wonder if they have the same agent.

They can sign waivers.

they sign RB Lan Larison? thought i read about a 175k signing bonus for him

It's a salary guarantee. UDFA signing bonuses are regulated by the CBA.

From Masslive

“The first Patriots minicamp offensive line grouping was Campbell (left tackle), Jack Conley (left guard), Wilson (center), Cole Birdow (right guard), and Marcus Bryant (right tackle).”

At the beginning of practice, Williams caught a pass off his body as opposed to in his hands. That wasn’t an issue at the end of the session. Williams made two nice catches during the Patriots 4-on-4 period. One was a shorter reception with a linebacker in the coverage.

Williams saved his best catch for last – jumping over seventh-round pick Kobee Minor to make a great grab down the left sideline”

Out of that group, Jiles was one of the day’s standouts.

At the end of practice, the Patriots held a 4-on-4 non-contact drill between the offense and defense. Out of the 10 completed passes, Jiles had three receptions. Two of those catches saw Jiles jump over Battle to highpoint the ball.

After Jiles’ second highlight catch, Vrabel could be seen congratulating the receiver on the sideline.“

Yeah hope he keeps recovering. My guess, it was a heart issue and he is best off taking as much time as needed. Get better and see you on the sideline soon.
There could literally be 100 different possibilities. From a prevalence standpoint cardiovascular disease or cancer are at top of the list but its all just speculation.
Hope he gets better. Seems like a good man

As it relates to the rookies…

Snap. Just posted this elsewhere. I put a brief tldw summary there.

Williams not a deep threat gives me a good chuckle .

My first thought was stroke or very high blood pressure.

Cancer doesn’t seem to fit the reported facts. He was going home for spring break, stayed in Detroit for rehabilitation. So it sounds like it was sudden onset and serious consequences from which he is now recovering. My first thought was heart, or possibly high blood pressure or even a mild stroke. Hopefully it was just a wake up call without lasting damage.

Pats DC Williams' absence due to 'health scare'

I just heard the interviews with Campbell, Williams, and Wilson talking to the media.

We have already heard Will Campbell but was my first time hearing Kyle Williams and Jared Wilson.

Kyle was serious and confident. He mentioned that his goal is to be an elite player, but it was not delivered braggadociously like we heard from Baker last year.

I was really impressed with Jared Wilson. Personable and intelligent, very well-spoken. Seems like a leader.
