Can't lose to the Pirates. Even the Rockies beat them. That being said Wild Card here we come. Anything is possible in the playoffs. i still think they need another bat or two. Look at Phillies lineup.

Yeah I think the Phillies have the most high-end talent combo of starting pitching and hitters in mlb. They should be the favorites. But it's funny- there's just something about the Brewers. They're really tough to beat -great pitching, speed and defense. Houston once Alvarez is geared up is the best team in AL,imo. Brown us pretty close to skenes skubal crochet so if Valdez can get back to his old ace stuff they're tough. Nobody else in AL scares me

They should win the division but a couple of things are holding them back. 1) Cora. Period. 2) Breslows failed trade for Ryan and giving Tibbs Jr away for free basically for May who is kinda garbage.

Now if Tolle can pitch like an above average starter for the rest of the season, number 2 is mitigated quite a bit. However, you need to win the games that everyone but May pitches. If they don't, they might not make the playoffs at all. That is still very much in play.

Can they just DFA Yoshida already? Dude brings nothing to the team except weakly hit ground balls.

The whole team is in a rut. IMO that loss Friday, might be their undoing. Massive mismanagement from Cora and they ended losing what could have been a signature win against the best pitcher in baseball. Those things matter.

They are 9-3 in the last 12. Sounds like they are fine to me. Picked up a game vs Toronto today.

Yeah I know. Losing 2 of 3 to Pittsburgh was a joke though. They could have the division lead right now.

Ok, heard chef. We can be thankful there's still more baseball to play.

16 games over .500. Let's hope Anthony is OK. Gonzo and Anthony need to stay healthy.

I knew Anthony was gonna be good.
But damn, this kid has what it takes to be one of if not THE best players in mlb.
No need to rush him and Cora won't- another reason why Cora is one of, if not THE best Mgr I'm mlb.
The way he's expertly managed the workloads of key players, especially pitchers, so they're at their best in October, is one of tge big reasons they're where they are.
A certain poster here was criticizing his bullpen use which is ridiculous.
I also don't trust Weissert, just like the poster. But Cora made Chapman and Whitlock unavailable that night as their recent workloads are heavy. W/o those 2 100% healthy, Sox win nothing.
A good example is Crochet- he's never pitched this many innings having been a reliever and it showed tge other night.
Cora has been super careful with him but you can see the innings are still having an effect. Velocity was down.
So Alex will do whatever needs to be done to keep his arm strong- that could be skipping a dtart or two or not pitching as deep into games or both.
Sox are in the playoffs. Getting home field is not as important as having Crochet et al at their best. Then they have a legit shot at going deep.
Hopefully, Anthony won't be out too long.
But as long as it takes. We need him in October.

Agreed Cora has done a good job. If this team stays healthy they can definitely make some noise in October
