Just finished re-developing this and updating it so that it's now mobile-friendly, a larger display, etc. For the longest time, the drag and drop functionality couldn't be used on a phone, iPad, etc. and I've wanted to work on it, and I had started this last summer but finally went ahead and finished it.

I've tested it, and it should be working. There's also and "+Add" button for custom players just like the last one.

A couple of things in which I prefer the older version to this one; but I do appreciate the effort.

I've included 69 here because it includes the 16-man practice squad plus the 53-man active roster; and besides it's a cool number.
So think of this more like a depth chart reading left to right instead of top to bottom:

QB (3) Drake Maye, Joshua Dobbs, Ben Wooldridge

RB (5) Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, TreVeyon Henderson, Brock Lampe, Lan Larison

TE (4) Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, CJ Dippre, Jaheim Bell

WR (8) Stefon Diggs, Demario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, Efton Chism III, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk

C (3) Garrett Bradbury, Jared Wilson, Ben Brown
G (5) Cole Strange, Mike Onwenu, Sidy Sow, Layden Robinson, Wes Schweitzer
T (6) Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Vederian Lowe, Caedan Wallace, Demontrey Jacobs, Marcus Bryant

DT (6) Milton Williams, Khyiris Tonga, Joshua Farmer, Jaquelin Roy, Eric Johnson, Christian Barmore

ED (6) Keion White, Harold Landry, Anfernee Jennings, Bradyn Swinson, K'Lavon Chiasson, Elijah Ponder

LB (5) Robert Spillane, Marty McPoo, Christian Elliss, Jack Gibbens, Monty Rice

CB (8) Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, Carlton Davis, Alex Austin, D.J. James, Marcellas Dial Jr., Isaiah Bolden, Kobee Very Minor.
SS (3) Kyle Dugger, Brendan Schooler, Dell Pettus
FS (4) Jabrill Peppers, Craig Woodson, Marcus Epps, Jaylinn Hawkins

ST (3) Bryce Baringer, Andres Borregales, Julian Ashby

Total Players: 69

A couple of thoughts:
- We need at least one more QB, preferably two.
- Mack Hollins should Never be this high on any Legit pretender's depth chart.
- If Schweitzer actually makes the 53, then we're in worse shape than I feared.
- Dee Jacobs is our #3 Left Tackle. Think about that...
- Barmore doesn't exist to me, until he takes the field and makes the plays he was very handsomely paid to make.
- Our CB depth sucks. As in, like, really Sucks.
- I would prefer Peppers as our Strong Safety, but it is what is.

I tried to model it after the old one, but is there something I left out? Let me know, as I can obviously still tweak this one.

Where is the link on Patsfan.com other then in this thread. I think that one should be prominent on the page. I may just not be able to find it I am one of those old fogies. Thought I could handle tech. Ha!

It's temporarily under "Contests" for now, but I'm going to create a better spot for it.

My early guess

Players cannot be moved from one position to another, like from DE to OLB or FS to CB, etc...Plus the actual click-and-drag process itself is kinda clunky... And I keep having to hit OK when I exceed the 53-man limit... I do like the feature that allows you to add a player directly into a position group, however, and the overall quality of the graphics.

Got you. I'll work on modifying it to allow for moving them between categories, that should be relatively easy. And I'll see if I can't tweak the drag and drop part a bit and make that a little smoother.

QB (2) Drake Maye, Joshua Dobbs
RB (4) Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, TreVeyon Henderson, Lan Larison
Looking forward to Lampe vs Larison; don't know if they can keep both on the 53...

TE (3) Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jaheim Bell
Same with Bell vs Dippre...

WR (6) Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Demario Douglas, Kyle Williams, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk
Dawghouse might want to consider re-negotiating his contract to better-insure his job security; otherwise I might be inclined to keep Booty as my #6 and save the cap money...

C (2) Garrett Bradbury, Jared Wilson
G (4) Mike Onwenu, Cole Strange, Sidy Sow, Layden Robinson
T (4) Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Caedan Wallace, Vederian Lowe
Same top 10 as mine.

DE (2) Milton Williams, Keion White
DT (4) Christian Barmore, Khyiris Tonga, Jeremiah Pharms Jr., Joshua Farmer
ILB (4) Jahlani Tavai, Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, Jack Gibbens
OLB (3) Harold Landry, Bradyn Swinson, Anfernee Jennings
Not counting on Barmore, yet... I'd rather have King Jack or even Eric Johnson maybe ahead of the lil' dude from Sitcom U... And would the cap hit for dumping him be that onerous that we 're compelled to keep the ****ing Sloppy Jalopy in the building any longer than the end of TC? I'd rather give the lounging Chiasson a chance to revive his career and swallow the hit than retain that *******.

CB (5) Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis, Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, Isaiah Bolden
SS (3) Kyle Dugger, Marte Mapu, Dell Pettus
FS (3) Jabrill Peppers, Craig Woodson, Jaylinn Hawkins
ST (4) Bryce Baringer, Andres Borregales, Brenden Schooler, Julian Ashby

Total Players: 53

I'd rather have DJ James than Bolden, who I don't think can actually play the position... I still consider Marty McPoo a WLB and Not a SS because I think he needs to be closer to the LOS to be effective... And I don't know if I can say that I'm actually looking forward to it or anything, but it looks like it's either Hawkins or Marcus Epps...

No Mack Hollins? Not that I'm complaining or anything...

C (2) Garrett Bradbury, Jared Wilson
G (4) Mike Onwenu, Cole Strange, Layden Robinson, Sidy Sow
T (4) Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Vederian Lowe, Caedan Wallace
Also same 10 as mine.

DE (2) Keion White, Milton Williams
DT (4) Christian Barmore, Jeremiah Pharms Jr., Joshua Farmer, Khyiris Tonga
ILB (4) Jahlani Tavai, Robert Spillane, Jack Gibbens, Christian Elliss
OLB (4) Harold Landry, Bradyn Swinson, Anfernee Jennings, K’Lavon Chaisson
Same, except Roy > Pharma.

CB (6) Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis, Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, Marcellas Dial Jr., Isaiah Bolden

FS (2) Jabrill Peppers, Craig Woodson

I'm thinking they will do the temporary promote from the PS for Lampe for a few games and see how he plays.
Same with Bell vs Dippre...
Dippre is 6'5" 255....good size. Bell has 2 catches in 2024 and he's not a blocker but I'd like to see what McDaniels does with him. Dippre will make it to the PS. Can always come up later.
Dawghouse might want to consider re-negotiating his contract to better-insure his job security; otherwise I might be inclined to keep Booty as my #6 and save the cap money...
Bourne has basically doubled his production over his career compared to Hollins and he's 2 years younger. I get it...Hollins can play ST in bare feet and he's quirky. "But, but he's a Vrabel guy". So was this one...

02/03/25 Signed TE Giovanni Ricci
04/28/25 Released TE Giovanni Ricci
Same top 10 as mine.
10 is a high number but they need options
Not counting on Barmore, yet... I'd rather have King Jack or even Eric Johnson maybe ahead of the lil' dude from Sitcom U... Yeah it's possible Tavai might be moving on.
I'd rather have DJ James than Bolden, who I don't think can actually play the position... IMO Bolden is better then Dial or the others. Yes to Marty.

Hey @captain stone , both of these have been addressed, and it should also be a little smoother when it comes to moving guys around.

Sorry - had to clear Cloudflare's cache. Should be working now.

FWIW, Steve Morse lists six veterans that may be on the roster bubble.

Jahlani Tavai
Keion White
Marte Mapu
Rhamondre Stevenson
Kendrick Bourne
Austin Hooper

It is, thank you. It's user-friendly and now position-flexible too! Just finished one, in fact:

QB (2) Drake Maye, Joshua Dobbs
RB (4) Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, TreVeyon Henderson, Brock Lampe (Larison's the 54th player)
TE (3) Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, CJ Dippre (and Bell's the 55th; I hope both can make it to the PS)
WR (6) Stefon Diggs, Demario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, Kayshon Boutte, Efton Chism III
(Both WRs from 2023 survive, whereas both from '24 don't. Thanks Bill!)

C (2) Garrett Bradbury, Jared Wilson
G (4) Mike Onwenu, Cole Strange, Sidy Sow, Layden Robinson
T (4) Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Vederian Lowe, Caedan Wallace
(Brown, Schweitzer & DT Jacobs are my PS standbys)

DE (4) Keion White, Harold Landry, Anfernee Jennings, Bradyn Swinson
DT (4) Milton Williams, Khyiris Tonga, Joshua Farmer, Jaquelin Roy
(Barmore to PUP until & unless I see him on the practice field, in full pads)

ILB (3) Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, Jack Gibbens
OLB (3) Marte Mapu, K’Lavon Chaisson, Monty Rice
(McPoo is less ineffective the closer he is to the LOS)

CB (6) Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis, Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, Miles Battle, D.J. James
I prefer the potential of Battle & James to the Non-potential of Dial & especially Bolden)
SS (2) Kyle Dugger, Brenden Schooler (Pettus to PS, easily)
FS (3) Jabrill Peppers, Craig Woodson, Marcus Epps (or Hawkins, but not both)

ST (3) Bryce Baringer, Andres Borregales, Julian Ashby

Total Players: 53

Steve Balestrieri with an August 3rd, pre-preseason roster projection.
Below are his comments on some of the roster battles.

WR (6): Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, DeMario “Pop” Douglas, Kyle Williams, Kayshon Boutte, Javon Baker
Out: Kendrick Bourne, Ja’Lynn Polk, Efton Chism III, John Jiles, Jeremiah Webb
This is a crapshoot after #5.
TE (2): Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper,
OUT: Jack Westover, Jaheim Bell, C.J. Dippre, Gee Scott Jr, Tyler Davis, Cole Fotheringham
Right now, Westover has the edge through the first week plus. But Bell has been working with the ST’s, so he can’t be discounted. Scott has had a few moments. Right now, I’m sticking with just Henry and Hooper until someone steps up, and they’ll be forced to make cuts elsewhere.
OL (9): Will Campbell, Garrett Bradbury, Mike Onwenu, Morgan Moses, Jared Wilson, Caedan Wallace, Demontrey Jacobs, Marcus Bryant, Ben Brown
Out: Cole Strange (G), Jack Conley (G), Yasir Durant (T-IR), Vederian Lowe (OT), Layden Robinson (G), Tyrese Robinson (T)
Cole Strange has lost his LG position to Wilson. When Bradbury came up limping, they brought in Brown and not Strange as the backup. Could Strange still make the roster as a backup guard/center? Sure thing. And maybe we’re reading too much of this—another position defined by the preseason.
DL (5): Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Khyiris Tonga, Joshua Farmer, Jeremiah Pharms Jr.
Out: Isaiah Iton, Jahvaree Ritzie, Jaquelin Roy, David Olajida
The defensive line is solid, on this projection, Farmer just beats out Roy. But I wouldn’t close the door on him yet; he plays like a guy Vrabel wants on the team.
LB (4): Robert Spillane, Jahlani Tavai, Christian Elliss, Jack Gibbens
Out: Marte Mapu, Monty Rice, Cam Riley
It would have been nice to keep Mapu, but again, he’s a victim of the numbers game.
CB (6): Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III, Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, Marcellas Dial, D.J. James
Out: Miles Battle, Isaiah Bolden, Brandon Crossley, Kobee Minor, Jordan Polk
The Patriots have pretty good depth at cornerback. James has been among the biggest positive surprises in camp. Thus far, he’s taken advantage of extra reps . . .
Specialists (4): Julian Ashby (LS), Bryce Baringer (P), Andy Borregales (K), Brendan School (Gunner)
Out: John Parker Romo
Romo has been very good thus far in training camp, but I’m sticking with the draft pick, Borregales. But Romo isn’t going anywhere; he’ll be on the practice squad.

Another August 4 roster projection, with explanations; this one from Patriots Wire/USA Today:

WR (6) In: Stefon Diggs, Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk
Out: Kendrick Bourne, Efton Chism, Javon Baker, DeMeer Blankumsee, John Jiles, Jeremiah Webb
Kendrick Bourne is hard to leave off the roster, but he has mainly been practicing with the second team. Javon Baker is another one, but he hasn't done enough. Efton Chism was once viewed as a high possibility to make the roster, but he has fallen off somewhat during training camp compared to his performance in the spring.
TE (3) In: Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jack Westover
Out: Jaheim Bell, CJ Dippre, Gee Scott Jr.
So far, Jack Westover has had the best performance in camp. . .
OL (9) In: Will Campbell, Cole Strange, Garrett Bradbury, Mike Onwenu, Morgan Moses, Jared Wilson, Demontrey Jacobs, Caedan Wallace, Ben Brown
Out: Vederian Lowe, Sidy Sow, Jack Conley, Layden Robinson, Yasir Durant, Mehki Butler, Tyrese Robinson, Marcus Bryant
Caedan Wallace has made the transition from tackle to guard this offseason and has earned praise from Vrabel. Cole Strange provides depth at the guard and center position. Bradbury departed practice early one day, and Ben Brown immediately replaced him with the top unit, showing how the coaching staff views him.
Edge (6) In: Harold Landry, Keion White, K'Lavon Chaisson, Anfernee Jennings, Bradyn Swinson, Truman Jones
Out: Elijah Ponder
Anfernee Jennings was on the bubble due to the new system, but he has had a very good camp. Truman Jones was another one who was on the outside looking in, but he was named an offseason award winner, proving that the coaching staff likes what they are seeing.
LB (4) In: Robert Spillane, Jack Gibbens, Christian Elliss, Jahlani Tavai
Out: Marte Mapu, Monty Rice, R.J. Moten
Marte Mapu is finally getting the opportunity to focus on linebacker rather than safety, but the room is very talented with numerous established veterans in the room. Because of that, he is one who, unfortunately, would be pushed just off the roster.
CB (6) In: Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III, Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, Marcellas Dial, D.J. James
Out: Miles Battle, Kobee Minor, Brandon Crossley, Isaiah Bolden, Jordan Polk
Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis will be the starters this season, but the depth behind them is very important. Alex Austin has that third spot locked down, while D.J. James has been a training camp standout. Meanwhile, Marcus Jones and Marcellas Dial are both crucial on special teams.
Safety (5) In: Kyle Dugger, Jabrill Peppers, Jaylinn Hawkins, Craig Woodson, Brenden Schooler
Out: Marcus Epps, Dell Pettus, Josh Minkins
Dell Pettus is another one who will be tough for the Patriots to cut considering his impressive performance during his rookie season after signing with New England as an undrafted free agent. But, with Kyle Dugger and Jabrill Peppers as the presumed starters, along with Jaylinn Hawkins' two interceptions during the in-stadium scrimmage, it seems hard for him to get in. The Patriots drafted Craig Woodson, so that's someone they want to develop, and Brenden Schooler is a no-brainer.

Phil Perry's July 31 Roster Projection:

Wide receiver (5): Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins
For Bourne, because of his experience in Shanahan-style offenses -- and because of the sheer number of those schemes that have spread like wildfire through the league -- it would make sense for the Patriots to try to trade him in the hopes of developing depth at another position where they're thin.
Chism is worthy of consideration here, too, but he's repped consistently with the reserves. Should he explode in preseason, putting good work on tape for the league to see, perhaps he'd force the hands of Patriots decision-makers to give him a job as a developmental piece and keep him away from the waiver wire.
Offensive line (8): Morgan Moses, Mike Onwenu, Garrett Bradbury, Jared Wilson, Will Campbell, Demontrey Jacobs, Ben Brown, Caedan Wallace
The top five here look pretty well set. Bradbury was banged up this week, but that's not expected to be a long-term issue, and when he returns, he looks like the best bet to start at center. Brown was the player who filled in as the top backup in the middle, which helps him land here.
Cole Strange, not included in this projection, feels like the third center. And he feels like the third or fourth guard behind Onwenu, Wilson and (perhaps) Wallace. Wallace's standing as a second-year player -- someone considered worthy of a third-round pick -- is what earns him the nod over Strange as a reserve guard here.
Edge defender (7): Harold Landry, Keion White, K'Lavon Chaisson, Anfernee Jennings, Bradyn Swinson, Elijah Ponder, Truman Jones
Too many names here? Maybe. But all three of Swinson, Ponder and Jones have shown up in different capacities.
Safety (6): Jabrill Peppers, Kyle Dugger, Craig Woodson, Jaylinn Hawkins, Brenden Schooler, Dell Pettus
Marcus Epps may be tough to leave off this list for Vrabel, but it's a relatively deep group. Pettus has real special-teams ability, and he's used at times as the personal protector on the punt team.
Schooler is a kicking-game ace, one of the best in the league in that phase and a potential captain. Hawkins has seen plenty of early reps with the defense and looks like a core special-teamer as well.
Special teams (3): Parker Romo, Bryce Baringer, Julian Ashby
Andy Borregales was taken with a draft pick back in the spring, which makes him the odds-on favorite to win the job. But Romo has been perfect in camp, while Borregales got off to a rocky start.
Borregales has been accurate of late, but he seems to hit a consistent draw, whereas Romo's kicks seem to fly straighter and with a little more velocity.
