What this Pats team has accomplished this year was entirely unexpected. No matter what they do in the SB, the season was a huge success. Thank you Patriots.
We have a historic underrated defense .. why settle now .

We never know if we go to Superbowl again..

Win it !! That's all we need. We need the damn 32nd pick in 2026 draft in April with no trade down or trade up.

Final thoughts on the game. If someone told me Maye would go 10-21 (under 50%) for 86 yards, get sacked 5 times, the Pats would only score 10 points and STILL win, I would’ve said you’re crazy.

The weather obviously played a MAJOR part in the game, kickers were only 1-5 on field goal attempts. Just crazy. Drake Maye was the best runner in the game, for either team.

Pats defense was fierce, have only given up 26 points in 3 playoff games combined (8.67 per game average). Props to both defenses. The Pats averaged 28.8 points per game, and the Broncos averaged 24.3, and there were only 17 total points in the game, such a crazy game.

Got 3 sacks on the vaunted Broncos OLine.

Just an unbelievable win, this team just finds a way. Can exhale for the next 13 days. Coach Payton can spend the next two weeks in Cancun.

"Maye - questionable, illness"
That was my worry. It is one thing when he is moving and running on the field and generating body heat.

Being static in that outfit in that weather cannot be good.

I love that the defense is carrying this team. It will be good for the Super Bowl and a positive for the future.

Other today, I think the offense has been overly maligned, but today it was definitely an issue. I don’t know what Maye needs to do to get over these early game jitters, but the Pats can’t afford for him to have them in the Super Bowl.

The realization that 3 points was an insurmountable lead and the only mistake would be to try was pretty damned gutsy, and brilliant. What are we all going to call this game in the future?
Slapfight game

As long as he wins in the end…

Devil’s advocate : Watch out for the Chagers’ rush ! Houston’s D is legendary, the best ever ! Denver has the #1 D in the league !

….and NE represents the AFC in February !
I like the sentiment but Seattle’s is different. It’s all from the interior.

I will say this…Drakes issues seem heavily influenced by weather. That won’t be an issue in Santa Clara

He has been good in the 2nd half of all 3 games in the postseason. Need to get him to be good in both halves. Seattle’s defense won’t be any easier than these last 3 he faced. If it’s the Rams, maybe it’s not quite as daunting, but then it’s more likely to become an offensive back and forth.
Good call, I asked Chatgpt to combine the two second half from Houston and San Diego and it’s 16/21 (76%), 234 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT.

He had the ball security issues, but the guy’s a freaking stud

That run to end the game was such a big time run. Mobile Drake Maye is a winner.

Little things were so important in this game. The punting game was crucial and Baringer had a poor showing. The Broncos offense had one deep bomb completed that gave them life for a while and a running back that broke a off a few nine yard runs and nothing else. Will Campbell settled down and looked decent but our passing game never got going and we just relied on Rham. Maye and the playcalling must be better.

This was an old school game that global warming has largely taken away most years. I loved and hated it.
