Yeah I'm done with this bum, I'm keeping Boutte over him.

Polk
Baker
Osborn
Douglas
Boutte / Juju
Bourne

Do you understand that the guys who took a LOT of reps in the game are the ones who need the most help to make the team?

Unless Bourne is activated between now and the next game, he's likely starting the year on the PUP.

PSU alum here who watched him for 4 years every game. I was "surprised" he went in the first 65 picks.
Wallace went at 68. I think you meant in the first 70 picks. .

Something significant about Milton is that he seems to have the best energy, his teammates clearly love him just see how crazy they were for him after the TD.

Deatrich Wise was being interviewed on the field and called Joe Milton a “great quarterback”. I did a double take.

Physically Milton is great. His physique is very comparable to Cam Newton. Are the things that he has struggled with before (accuracy namely) fixable?
Accuracy is much more fixable than foot work.

Not sure why Zappe got so much time when we are already know his ceiling. Maye needs to get game reps to get used to the NFL game at real speed with the bullets flying.

My man Boutte did well?

i look at that and think he has zero thought about ball safety.

sure its exciting, but damn son don't one hand the ball like that... if that was anyone but the 3's out there, chances are that play wouldn't have ended as well as it did...

sounded like he only want to leave Maye behind what is ostensibly the starting O Line... so I wouldn't worry about it...

and based on what Mayo said,
On what came down to the decision to pull Zappe when he did and to put Milton in when he did:

“Yeah, it was just about opportunity. It was about opportunity. And Zap went out there… Look, he’s won games in the NFL before, but then just putting Joe in at a time where we needed a spark, and he provided that spark, which I thought was good.”

Bailey Zappe is a dead man walking...

Thornton beat the coverage in the first series and got open, but Brissett badly under threw him; woul dhave been a TD if the pass was on target. Brissett also muffed the previous pass. What the heck? This is our starting QB? Is this the best the "Brain Trust" at the Patriots HQ could do as far as Free Agent QBs?

...

Milton looks promising. Brissett with a couple rough throws. Maye looked ok. Both rookies showed poise i thought. Hopefully wont see much more of zappe and juju

Maye looked much better than Brissett. I have to assume that Mayo was showing off Zappe in the hopes of trading him. Ha. A ridiculous waste of playing time that could have been better used to exercise Maye.

Also saw him slow down before going down. That’s a good way to get hit hard and probably fumble against a better defense than that.

IF the new kick off rules is the reason why we are keeping Reagor around just cut him right now. It's really stupid there's no reason to carry a KO specialist now they can't run anywhere Advantage Kicking Team.

Milton’s TD throw was nice but Jackson was wide open. I would think almost every backup QB in the league could hit a guy that open.

Right. If you slow down, you will get clobbered in the NFL from behind. This is not college anymore, but still very impressive. If the Patriots are going to field an OL filled with turnstiles, then you need a slippery QB like Milton.

Milton have Big Mitts for hands nice to have a QB who can do that every once in a while.

Nailed it! really hope Maye have some of that in him.
