They really thought a 68 yard FG attempt in Gillette in cold weather was a good idea when you have a big arm QB that can throw a jump ball in the EZ lmao

Unserious team right now.

I dont know what to say. This game was over with the way the offense was called after Gonzales’s pick. AVP in an effort to eat clock took the ball out of his best weapons hands and called some basic run plays. Lifeless. Gutless. Heartless. A sign of things to come. Defense gets on the field and Covington and Co. with the help of a shell of his former self Kyle Duggar piss the game away. Who do you blame? What do you say? All I can think of is that hot damn this is just a bad football team. Coaching staff isnt going anywhere and neither is the front office, so where do you start in fixing this mess? I guess Maye was a start, but where do ya go from here? With all that being said, Maye looked good and we still keep our draft slot. Gotta dig for the positives fellas. Dig deep.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, the margin for error on a 68 yard field goal is INSANELY low. Even at 60 yards, it's pretty damn unlikely. Like, damn near every variable has to be perfect. Even with the best kicker in history on their best day with robot legs has less a smaller chance of succeeding than some crazy Hail Mary.

Truly a stupid ****in call
Nah. It almost worked. Better execution in the final minutes like Henry not dropping the prior pass and we are that much closer. Besides a hail mary requires the oline to hold up long enough for the wrs to get down the field and we haven't shown the ability to do that at all.

It has become clear that both Onwenu and Dugger got their $$ and plan to mail it in.

Stay tuned for Mayos press conference on NBC sports Boston! Lemme guess...."it starts with me"?

Bringing back the coaching staff means you risk stunting Maye's growth. Somehow he has been a shining light on a pile of turds. But that won't last forever.

When drafting a stud QB is a crapshoot and it looks like you got one then you’ve already made tremendous strides.

Both Lines need to be gutted and replaced
You need more talent at skill positions
The coaching staff looks atrocious

There’s moves to be made, question is whether or not ownership will make them

But it didn't work. And it was an extremely low percentage. I think one has been made in history. And Henry didn't make the catch. All that signals the kick being a terrible choice. Maye is your best chance to win, you go with your best player.

Jerod Mayo is awful, Steichen basically beat him without a quarterback.

Brutal outcome, it was harder to lose this game than win it, the Colts were horrendous.

That's pretty much taking a 4-13 with the worst QB situation in the league and getting a monster QB play upgrade and turning it into a 3-14 team because that's what this is going to be.

Sure the O has issues, but this is ANOTHER game completely lost by the D's inability to stop the run.
I said it in the 1st quarter. This D is a complete mess, no toughness, total chaos.
So - you HAVE to fire the DC or take the "coordinator" position away from him.

I really believe a case can be made to fire Mayo after the season.

He’s a defensive guy and the defense has been AWFUL.

What exactly does he even bring other than “feelgood vibes” and generic corporate quotes?

I can live with this awful product and season if they fire everyone, and get good draft position.
I can’t find a case to bring him back. Fk the haters who bring up the bad look of firing a minority after 1 year.
