Kraft doesn't have anything to do with Kraft foods or so I thought.

Still your point stands and makes complete sense.
You are right! I always thought he was connected because of some of the stories I heard, for example, serving Oscar Meyer (Kraft Inc.) hot dogs and Heinz mustard at important functions. I thought it was a company pride thing, but now I know -- if it really happened -- he was just being cheap. I always assumed it. Sigh.

My theory of the situation:

For Kraft, the most important consideration is his pride. Will he will keep the Kraft brand as the face of a perennially losing franchise, after attaining such heights with Belichick and Brady? With every losing year that passes, the notion that Kraft might have not been so important to the dynasty after all seems more and more plausible. He and Jonathan may flail around for a few years longer, who knows? Maybe another lost year with Mayo with be enough. Maybe Bob passes the torch (one way or the other) and Jonathan is free to clean house.

Kraft's name is on some of the most popular products in America. He doesn't want that brand associated with a joke franchise, especially when he's responsible for the dysfunction. If it doesn't get it turned around and headed in the right direction soon, the Krafts sell.
I'm sorry but there is less than a zero percent chance of that happening. Kraft isn't going to sell over a couple of losing seasons, especially after the franchise was it's most relevant the last 20 years while Kraft was owner. Kraft already has his successor.

Kraft also isn't the one who owns all those Kraft brand products. Totally different. Not that anyone would stop buying those over a football team if he did.

If people thought the way you suggested, we'd see owners selling every single year. The last three sales were basically forced due to scandals and inheritance issues.

It's just not happening. This is taking being upset at the team and fantasizing some extreme unrealistic scenerio. No owner has ever sold because the team had some bad years. And some owners have had decades of being dirt awful and still kept the team. Fan satisfaction is not a requirement to own an NFL team.

Eh, I bought into the Maye hype. Should have known better. Thought he would have provided a spark to the team, and for a series and a half, it looked that way... but that spark was snuffed out by ****ty play and the rest of the litany of things that have gone wrong all year...

after the first quarter Jacksonville figured out what we were doing and adjusted to stop it... its the failure of our coaching staff that we do not do this, or we do not do this well enough... Am I wrong? Am I the only one who thinks we go into a game with a plan, and stick to the plan, no matter what? Say what you want about the talent, but they are talented enough to catch passes, to score td's... we've seen it... not its up to the coaching staff to put it together...

in 1994 we played the Minnesota Vikings,,, the Vikings put us in the woodshed in the first half... Parcells made a pivot, and Bledsoe threw for like 70 passes in the game... adjust to the situation, no matter how unbalanced it is... that's a key element, being able to make decisions based on the current situation...

we should have done that today... if the reason for the lack of adjustments is the pass pro, so ****ing what... the OL coach needs to grab a few facemasks and let those guys know - tough ****, its on you to do it... so do it... they won't get better unless they practice... and since there are no pads in practice anymore, then **** it... practice in games til they get it right...
You passed the HC interview...You're hired!

They should have added talent all over with all the money they had, but it should be clear to everyone right now that having a real QB makes the OL look 10x better in pass protecting.

Drake Maye has some time to wheel and deal back there because opposing defenses are afraid of him, and he's managing this without our best OL.

It's clear we have huge deficiencies at WR.

Drake can't do it all by himself. Polk and Bourne are no better than 3rd or 4th WRs at best. Assuming we have Douglas as our #2, we still need a #1. And frankly, I'd rather have Boutte out there as our 3rd than Polk or Bourne.
I would say ship a 6th or 5th rounder and get Meyers in here . He will be the safety valve for maye like Edelman . I am not sure K Bourne is the same. Might as well cut or release him along with KJ Osbourne.

Boutte and Demario are keepers. Now I would bench Polk for next 4 games and get tyquan Thornton and Baker.

I would make Bourne inactive for next 2 games to help in his recovery and gauge after week 10.

I am not too sure if tee Higgins might help us . Just get some taller boundary receivers like Juan Jennings . That should be enough for maye.

Since this is a lost season Mayo should try to install discipline in rest of folks . Bench people if attitude is lackadaisical or fundamentals are error prone.

Polk, Bourne, rhamondre, white , onwenu, hooper are players who top benching potential due to poor play or effort.

He'll hop on WEEI and hint how it's not his fault it's the roster Bill left.

He does plenty of talking during the week but none during the game, just stands there looking like he's clueless.
Cause he ….is??

I still think Polk has potential. He has a number of plays and opportunities where he is open.

But the kid lacks accountability, says stupid things, drops balls etc. He really needs to be benched for a few games to send a message. Normally I’d say let him push through it but his commentary means he has to be sat.
Didn’t like the pick at all.

The QB had plenty of time to throw today with the backup to the backup at tackle.

I do agree we need a LT but at this point, we need a top WR even more.
For twenty years ive heard that the pats needed a top reciever, but they won all those super bowls without one.. I posted on here many times that the wrs were the shiny object. I go by the old adage that a football team is built in the trenches, the offensive and defensive lines.

Today he had plenty of time.

What he didn't have were WRs

i didn't like his post game throwing the players under the bus. Give me one of those, "we all have to improve statements."

I can't believe Bentley meant that much to the run game. Its been atrocious since he went down. Van Pelt and Polk should be left in London. Polk couldn't catch covid if it was spit in his mouth! And then you run a two point play designed to go to him? And he ****ing falls, just literally falls.

And this new lets all be open and talk to the media about our feelings and ****...has been old for weeks now. Rookies shouldn't be talking to the media stating ignorant **** like I don't have any mental issues and then you solidify that statement by stating you have the best hands in the NFL. Yes, son you do have mental issues and it starts with being a mental midget! This team needs to STFU and play football.

On a positive Maye, Henry, Douglas and Boutte are solid offensive nucleus need a true #1 and at this point nearly an entire OL. But I'll start with a healthy starting 5 two weeks in a row. That would be nice.
I for one am laughing along with Belichick. Rookies talking to the media …some of us got what we wanted. Now we heading to laughing stock of pro sports !!

This is getting more frustrating every week. Mayo is NOT the guy to lead this team !! The only bright spots are Maye, HH, Slye and maybe Marcus Jones. Even Rham has regressed. Our O Line and DL are a mess. Where and how does one start to re-build this team ?
I hope that all the people that wanted Bill gone are happy with the results. It is a case of 'be careful what you wish for'
Robert Kraft is a terrible owner, from being one of the best he has become one of the worse. He only cares about his ego, his ego could not stand to see Bill get credit for the last 20 years so he fires him and hires someone who is completely out of his league and incompetent. We have hit rock bottom , I have invested 30 years in this team, I can't give up now. I just pray that someone comes along that can save the Patriots. It is NOT RK or Mayo or even Jonathan.
This my 40th season. That 20 year run softens the blow of suckville, unfortunately looks like we moved into town and gonna stay for awhile.

Duggar played pretty well but the D forced no fumbles and had no picks. Bruh.

Vrabel doesn’t win without a talented roster he proved that in Tennessee. Why on earth would he be better here with this untalented roster.

If we still want a defensive coach Rex Ryan is available. Lol
I’m still a believer in strong coached team is better than team full of ath-a-letes…

Maye's play style buys himself time to throw, and yet there only ever seems to be Hunter Henry open downfield on broken/deep plays.

Controversial take but I can see them looking at Tet McMillon WR1 and we can finally stop having this conversation every single year about receivers.

Especially as Banks was overwhelmed last night vs Georgia. Pickup a couple O line in R2 & 3.

Bentley and Barmore will sort the rungame out next season.
No WR please. Get some bodies in the trenches on both sides.
