Are both of these statements true?
1) We have the worst team in the NFL.
2) With Tannehill at QB today, we'd probably be competitive.
ALTERNANITIVE
We have the worst QB in the NFL.
=================
I suspect that we couldn't get any of the reasonable options to come here, probably including Tannehill. Blame whoever you wish to.
Blame the management for wanting to turn a new page. Yes, they thought than Okorafor was better, but Jacobs has been sort of OK.
The primary issue has been the lack of a QB.
================
LET ME PUT IT ANOTHER WAY
Most of us were ready to accept a 3- to 6-win season. That's still theoretically possible. Of course, the whining won't stop. If we knew before the season that we would be 1-3 and starting Maye or a marginally qualified backup QB for Game 5? Of course not.
The ONE ISSUE is that Brissett is NOT a marginally qualified backup. He is terrible. No one can call plays to make him better. An average backup QB today would have had lots of completions.
