Don’t worry about us long time fans, the ones before the Brady/BB Parcells/Bledsoe have been through some tough times and we’re still here. Get a grip, You sound like a broken harp.
Possibly. Assumes the Bears would take MHJ at 2 and not one of the QBs.Kingsbury ditching Vegas to Washington has me wondering if they’re legit trying to move up for Williams now. If that happens Pats will have their choice between Maye and Daniels.

My hope is if they were locked in on Daniels that they’d bring in former Georgia/current LSU passing game coordinator/wr’s coach, Cortez Hankton aboard. I’d ****can Brown in a second for that guy. Joe Brady worked out well for Buffalo from the same position. This is nothing new. Folks simply like to complain.
Given our considerable insights on how to run a franchise, we also like to point out what should be done and threaten to leave.
=========
Let's look at 2024 and slowly this process has gone.
1) The patriots played their last game less than a month ago.
2) The choice of HC was almost immediately leaked, very necessary for those who refused to believe Kraft's past actions and statements.
3) The choice of interim GM was immediately leaked. Wolf and Mayo have probably met for hours every day. Groh might have gone with Bill, but it was rumored that he'd probably be here until the draft.
4) The DC position was a bit of a dance to allow the BB kids to decide whether they were staying. Did anyone think that Mayo wouldn't
make sure that we kept Covington?
5) As far as OC, almost a dozen were interviewed within 3 weeks. Clearly more were considered. This was simply not thorough enough for some.
6) Yes, we need more. There are already rumors regarding an Advisor for the Offense and a very experienced OL coach.
7) Much more will come this month, hopefully including run game and passing game coordinators.
BOTTOM LINE
This is progressing as well as can be for this first month. I expect the same this next month. And then, we will be ready to make free agency choices, with fewer shiny new toys for the fans, as has been the case for decades.
Perhaps, this should have happened 4 years ago, but that is another story. Belichick coached a 4-year transition. And now, we need to start again.
That’s the guy I’m zeroed in on right now. Love Drake Maye.Maye at #3 is a QB pick I could get behind.
If Williams and Maye go 1-2, I would hope the Pats could get value for a small trade down.
I imagine if they pass on Williams they’ll pass on the other two and take MHJ, but just an assumption.Possibly. Assumes the Bears would take MHJ at 2 and not one of the QBs.

at least to 4 if they want Daniels and perhaps lower in the top 10 if they don'tMaye at #3 is a QB pick I could get behind.

Yeah but MHJ will go at #4 at the latest to Arizona. So they can either trade down to #2 with Washington or #3 with New England if they want to gain capital while still getting their guy. Of course, if New England is not dead-set on Williams and is happy with Maye then they have no incentive to trade up - they’ll know that the Bears will not take a QB and Washington will take Williams, so they can stand pat. Chicago’s only real play is to trade with Washington. Otherwise they’d probably have to trade down quite a bit more, which would net them a much bigger haul, but they’d miss out on MHJ. Of course, they have to sell being willing to do that to Washington in order to make that trade happen - otherwise, Washington would also just sit. There’s also the word that Williams doesn’t actually want to play for Chicago, which if true, means Chicago is kind of stuck trying to find a partner but with decreased leverage. They would be passing up a large haul of picks to trade down.
The only thing better than being in the top 2 and needing a QB is being in top 2 and NOT needing a QB.
I’m warming up to AVP.Ok I watched a good amount of video of the top QBs and here’s where I’m at.
Daniel’s is an absolute weapon at the college Level and had some amazing WRs.
I’m concerned about his frame and if his arm is strong Enough for the NFL. When he can’t run can he go thru his progressions?
Drake Maye Big kid big arm, but something to me isn’t there.
I don’t see many throws in tight coverage, I see him throwing deep balls to Tez walker and if we get Maye we should try to pair him up with Walker.
However I don’t see a lot of velocity on his throws they travel far but I’m not seeing him put the ball on a rope in tight windows.
I’m going to echo Harbaugh here, I like J J McCarthy, kid didn’t make every throw a deep ball, he went thru his progressions and he puts the ball on the money in tight converage. Throws on the run really well.
I saw some throws where it was Rodgers like. He is disciplined and he runs to set up his throws. When he has to run he is the second best running QB aside from Daniel’s.
Bo Nix I love the kid too, quick release, makes all the throws a west coast system would ask him to. Makes throws to tight windows with enough velocity.
Maybe the second most accurate QB in this draft after Williams.
Has played a lot of ball and keeps getting better.
If we do QB In top 3 I hope it’s Caleb or Daniel’s.
I would take Harrison JR or trade down.
However I think McCarthy is going to fly up the board and go in the top 10.
He has all the tools.
Maye scares me the most is he Josh Allen or Andy Dalton?
I think JJ McCarthy is Aaron Rodgers, Joe burrow like.Ok I watched a good amount of video of the top QBs and here’s where I’m at.

All the talk now is just noise. They're not going to really reveal their intentions. You say you want a tackle so that teams won't know you really want Harrison or so that teams won't jump ahead of you for one of the QBs you really want.As much as we need a solid OL (especially at Tackle), there is some talk (which probably counts for nothing), that the team might draft an OT at #3 overall. If they do, that would be horrific and outright criminal. Because they can move down and acquire a pic or picks and still get one of the top 2 OT's somewhere between picks 6 and 8.
I guess all of this assumes CHI doesn't want a QB? Listening to Poles in his presser, it does sound like they may want to stick w/ JF1. CHI only has 6 picks and no 2nd Rd picks.Yeah but MHJ will go at #4 at the latest to Arizona.
