Game Day Thread 2023 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: Week 5 - New England Patriots vs New Orleans Saints

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Can Bill just "declare" Mac and Zappe are hurt so he can play Grier? Like Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy?

Yes, QB and OL have to be the 1st and 2nd priority
You need a right tackle. We've drafted 4 IOL at high positions. We don't need anymore. If you hit on QB, then you'll see some of these guys compete for Pro Bowls. Just as in the past when Onwenu and Shaq Mason were well regarded. Playing in front of Mac makes you suck

Give it to him.

I‘ll give Zappe a free pass on overthrowing his receivers. Zappe is so short and Henry and Bourne are tall. From Zappe’s perspective, they might be much taller than they are.

Lol our guys are not blocking at all. A new QB will help. But they will get destroyed behind this line

Why are the Saints going for it on 4th and 11? LOL

Bailey Zappe last week on third down: 0/3
Today, so far: 0/2

Mac Jones on Third Down today: 2/8 (25%) 32yds 1 INT
Last Week: 4/8 (50%) 89yds
Zappe just looks like he has better command.

He has time back there.

He stands in.

He sets up his OL and doesn't run into the rush.

He's not scared, he's not jittery, throwing off his back foot.

Zappe does all these good things that Mac doesn't do...

but in the end Zappe can't make the throws.

In other words, Zappe is not an NFL QB

Maybe hopeless incompetence actually is sort of a medical condition?

Saints running up the score on us man.

I don't even follow college football. Is there any legitimate QB talent this year?

We won't be getting williams but Bo Nix would be nice. Can scramble, has an excellent arm. We can build around him.

Nothing like the Patsies these days for a get right game…
