2022 PTP Draft Board / Pats Draft Talk

That’s the thing though isn’t it? In order for guys to move up, who is currently projected higher that you think is going to fall down? Both things have to happen.

I'm sure there'll be a couple of prospects who'll fall for medical or off-field reasons, but what will also happen is that certain positions - CB, DE, WR, OT, QB - will be drafted ahead of other positions - SS, I/MLB, RB, C/G; so even if prospects at the latter positions are ranked higher than those at the former ones, they will be drafted later than them... Happens every year... Unfortunately for us, the players we really Really need are All in the first group (except for QB we hope)... Kyler Gordon might be available at #54 in PFF's mocks, but I seriously doubt he will be available there when the draft itself begins...

Johnson is 254 lbs. Very light for the DL. Big enough for college but is it big enough for the NFL? How do you know he will translate to the NFL? I am sure Johnson will be good but a Top 20 pick should be "can't miss" in my book.

JJ has the height, arm length & hand size to project a playing weight in the 265-270 range, plenty big enough for Edge Defender in our 4-2/2-4 Umbrella defense.

Jordan Davis for saints. Why else will they leapfrog chargers?

Because the Saints have been foolish in their disregard for draft picks in the past, and are now being so again?

Devonte Wyatt.
We already have our 3-Tech in Barmore; we need a Beef Curtain like Travis Jones.

Anyone excited about this visit, he seems like the perfect undersized, slow cb that won't see the field for 2 years that should go on day 3, that we end up taking on day 2.....not this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh please dear sweet 8-pound 6-ounce Baby Jesus with the Golden Fleece diapers No Not this stiff No Please No....

Ehh I wouldn't bc David was more fluid coming out. His change of direction was pretty smooth. I think his instincts were better in coverage as well.

It's not bad but it doesn't really jump out to me. I could be wrong.

I think KVN is actually a better comp to Lloyd coming out. Idk @WaterfallJumper what do you think about that one?
Umm.. I was talking about Nakobe Dean compared to Lavonte David. Not Lloyd..

Bill has drafted a Guard with his first pick before, but Mankin$ was a college LT; so this will still be unprecedented if Green or Zion Johnson is taken either at #21 or after a trade-down...

The question I answered was about which DT could play 3 downs. Wyatt certainly can. He's a Barmore clone.

Davis? Doubtful he's a 3-down guy. Don't know about Jones.

Hopefully he's being looked at as day 3 or 5th round+ prospect and not another of BB's patented 2nd round reaches ala Slowjuan Williams, Duke Dawson, Jordan Richards, Tavon Wilson, etc. etc.

Booth just seems like your prototypical hard nosed Patriots style CB, very physical, stout in the run support, and makes plays in the passing game as well. I do hope he drops to 21 as that would fill a huge need at the moment for a #1 type outside CB.

I am not sure. Booth Jr. looks good playing off the line and moving forward, but to me, he looks awkward and stiff jamming and running with the receivers. I prefer the smaller Elam who is very smooth and shut down both Metchie and Williams.

Any one miss the good old days when the draft was only two days on Saturday and Sunday? I used to always make sure to have that weekend off from work and just lounge around the house with mags, coffee and then moving on to the beers getting nothing done but enjoying the f*** out of it.

Thursday and Friday are ok, but I really hate having to regroup and wait for the next day.
