The annual bold predictions thread. It can be anything you want, team records, standings, SB winners, stat predictions...etc. And remember this is a fun thread, no one here is nostradamus, so take it with a grain of salt and have fun!

I will lead off with several not so bold and some bold.

The Pats will be ranked top 3 in the league in the following:
Total Defense
Points allowed
Rushing

Top 10
Points scored
Passing
Jones is OROY

I used a week by week simulator and these are my results. I had the Pats as an 11-12 win team. Ended up giving them an extra one in the simulator. (In case your interested in doing one yourself https://next.playoffpredictors.com/...-FC5F5D1C1D64/official?L=Aw18ZXTt-DFOS1b0cyoA)

Not how I would pick it if I just picked Division winners and playoff participants without selecting the week by week game winners. But this is the outcome I have using it. I am, for some reason, perfectly fine with the outcome if it plays out this way. It's only fitting that BB should be the first HC to win a SB with a rookie QB.

The gamblers are gonna be after your simulator if they aren't already

Damien Harris will rush for over 1400 yards.

The Patriots defense will lead the league in sacks.

This is not my simulator and maybe that was a bad choice of words. It's just a week by week pick'em that keeps track of your picks and does the playoff seedings for you.

Both bold.

I prefer we just win the Super Bowl, all the sexy stats come in second

Oh sure, but if we stuck to those metrics, every prediction in the thread would be "Pats win Super Bowl" ;) Stats at least give us some variety of fun to have.

I have a lame prediction that I will continue to hate the logo and uniforms as much as I love our old (real) ones
I’m just mad that they changed the uniform to the current garbage from the dynasty version uniforms. Just horrible looking. They won SIX SBs in those great uniforms and changed them to garbage.

Of course, being a fan since 1975, of course I love the OLD unis. Been trying to find a white version of the 1976 jersey, it’s impossible to find.

My bold prediction, I see the Pats winning 9 or 10 games and possibly making the playoffs. The bold part of the prediction is I see them winning a playoff game if they get in. I think the Pat’s defense and running game carries this team, but Mac has a really solid rookie season. At least 65% completion percentage, and probably at least a 2 to 1 TD to INT ratio.

Not sure how bold any of mine will be, but they're just predictions:
  • 9 or 10 wins, maybe a playoff berth, could win 1-2 playoff games if we make it in but no ring
  • The passing game will still be frustrating, but it'll be more like 2019 where the problem is clearly the receivers and not the QB
  • JJ Taylor will be our #2 RB and keep Stevenson from playing much as a rookie (but it's okay because Taylor will be really good)
  • Meyers will be more productive in the passing game than either of our expensive new tight ends or Agholor
  • Pass rush and run defense will be significantly better than last year thanks to Judon, Uche, Hightower, KVN. Possibly Godchaux and Barmore as well, although I need to see more from them
  • JC Jackson will get a lot of picks and allow a lot of TD; the secondary in general might disappoint, especially while Gilmore is out
  • I'll try not to jump on this bandwagon, but people are going to start calling Dugger a bust because he'll still be mediocre in coverage
  • Nordin will be demoted to PS by October, Folk won't be as good as he was last year, and we just get an entirely new kicker midseason and start this whole process over again in March for the 3rd consecutive year
If these things happen, it won't be a sexy year for the Pats, but valuable groundwork will be in place and I'll be satisfied.

There's no chance in the Nine Hells that the AFC North has FOUR 11 win teams.

AFCEast will have the most wins of any AFC division.

The North plays the West and the NFCWest - Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, Raiders, Rams, 49'ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals.
Brutal.
