Thought this would be fun to look back on over the course of the season, and maybe compare at year-end. Feel free to elaborate on choices/add any others!

Biggest Surprise:

Biggest Disappointment:

Best New Addition:

Breakout Player:

Rookie of the Year:

Defensive POY:

Offensive POY:

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady:

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award:
*Player most adept at making Pats fans piss boil given their usage and/or poor play.

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award:
*Player of starting caliber who’s most likely to be shipped out of town during the season.

Biggest Surprise:
-- Jon Jones (for many fans)

Biggest Disappointment:

-- Jeremy Hill (he'll have some good games, but not enough for many folks)
-- Duke Dawson (may not see the field as much as people expect)
-- Sony Michel (he'll be fine, but fan expectations for him are too high)

Best New Addition:

-- Shelton (because of what he'll enable others around him to accomplish)
-- Bentley
-- Rivers (technically "new")

Breakout Player:

-- Jon Jones, Rivers
-- Dorsett, Hollister

Rookie of the Year:
-- Bentley

Defensive POY:

-- Brian Flores

Offensive POY:

-- Gronk

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady:

-- Gronk (or whoever steps up in the playoffs)

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award:
*Player most adept at making Pats fans piss boil given their usage and/or poor play.

-- Roberts, obviously. He has too much of a head start on everyone else.

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award:
*Player of starting caliber who’s most likely to be shipped out of town during the season.

-- I don't think there will be one, but possibly Rowe.

Biggest Surprise:
WR's they reported are pissed at how they are described and have a lot to prove.

Biggest Disappointment:
Defense will be much better than last year but will not be as aggressive as many fans want..

Best New Addition:
Clayborn and Shelton will solidify this D line

Breakout Player:
Sony Michel

Rookie of the Year:
Sony Michel

Defensive POY:
Hightower, Gilmore and Flowers will share this honor

Offensive POY:
Gronk and unnamed WR who will surprise us all

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady:
Gronk not only because of his performance but a healthy dose of "legacy" mixed in

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award:
*Player most adept at making Pats fans piss boil given their usage and/or poor play.
No idea stupid award, how many times can you beat a dead horse??..

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award:
*Player of starting caliber who’s most likely to be shipped out of town during the season.
No idea stupid award, how many times can you beat a dead horse??..

Biggest Surprise:
-- Derek Rivers ( he is going to be a crucial part of the front seven and he will get 10+ sacks )
-- Cordarelle Patterson ( he will turn out to be very effective as a runner and WR as well. At least 6 TDs :)
Biggest Disappointment:
-- Rex Burkhead ( high hopes on him but he will lose his snaps in favour of sony Michel and James White )
-- Elandon Roberts (Simply he will not step up and Bentley will take his job ).

Best New Addition:

-- Shelton (because he will improve our poor defense against the running game what was one of the biggest issues in previous season)
-- Bentley ( not many expectations for him just after the draft day but he will become a good tackler and run stopper)

Breakout Player:
-- Derek Rivers

Rookie of the Year:
-- Sony Michel

Defensive POY:

-- Stephone Gilmore

Offensive POY:

-- Rob Gronkowski

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady:

-- Edelman ( not about stats but he will be the most proven and reliable player in difficult situations)

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award:
*Player most adept at making Pats fans piss boil given their usage and/or poor play.

-- Jason McCourty ( he will struggle playing as a safety. If he plays CB he will be outplayed by one of our rookies)

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award:
*Player of starting caliber who’s most likely to be shipped out of town during the season.

-- I hope BB will be satisfied with our team and no one will be shipped out of town.

Biggest Surprise: Dorsett

Biggest Disappointment: The amount of time it will take Edelman to be back to 100%, if he gets there at all this year.

Best New Addition: Shelton. Literally filling the biggest hole last year's defense had.

Breakout Player(s): Rivers, Michel

Rookie of the Year: Michel

Defensive POY: Gilmore. Him completely erasing #2 and holding his ground against #1 should help Flores to mix up coverages and help the pass rush up front.

Offensive POY: Brady, obviously.

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady: Gronk being biggest chess piece in the league

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award: Roberts and potentially Bentley at some point.

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award: Rowe or JMac.

Can't wait to look at this in February and see how wrong my predictions were.

Dude, why’d you have to go and straight up disrespect Da Burkmeister like that???

I wish him all the best and believe me respect him a lot. But it is just a hunch he might struggle with injuries. Trust me I wish I was wrong. It has nothing to do with disrespect towards him.

Biggest Surprise:
Jeremy Hill leads the team in carries, yards and TDs.

Biggest Disappointment

Rookie RBs rarely make an impact in this offense, and Sony Michel will be no exception.

Best New Addition:

Adrian Clayborn's veteran presence re stabilizes the defensive line.

Breakout Player:

Deitrich Wise emerges as a Flowers-caliber player

Rookie of the Year:

JuWhaun Bentley finishes the year with the second most snaps on the team at LB.

Defensive POY:

Gilmore puts up big stats, but the return of Hightower will have a trickle down effect on the entire defense.

Offensive POY:

Assuming Brady is not an option, Gronk puts up the biggest numbers

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady:

Hightower

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award:
*Player most adept at making Pats fans piss boil given their usage and/or poor play.
Eric Rowe starting is not going to make us forget about Butler.

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award:
*Player of starting caliber who’s most likely to be shipped out of town during the season.

Malcom Brown seems to have fallen out of favor.

Biggest Surprise: Bentley

Biggest Disappointment: Dorsett

Best New Addition: Clayborn

Breakout Player: Bentley

Rookie of the Year: Bentley

Defensive POY: Gilmore

Offensive POY: White

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady: Edleman

Jordan Richards Infuriation Award:
*Player most adept at making Pats fans piss boil given their usage and/or poor play. Dorsett

Jamie Collins C Ya Later Award:
*Player of starting caliber who’s most likely to be shipped out of town during the season. Don't think anyone. To choose one, they trade Brown.

No superlatives for Cat like quickness?

Biggest Surprise: Rivers. Leads the team in sacks.

Biggest Disappointment: Michel.

Best New Addition: Hill. He can do everything the Pats ask in this offense. It’s Deja vu for Da Burkmeister. Get on the field or lose your job.

Breakout Player: Rivers.

Rookie of the Year: Whoever plays. Early indication says Bentley.

Defensive POY: Gillmore.

Offensive POY: Gronk.

Team MVP Not Named Tom Brady: Gronk.

That’s a tough one. I’m going to say none.
