Before TC kicks off tomorrow . maybe an intro thread could be useful.
Also today is the day that all players report and BB has his first stand-up w media.
____
Lets start with some roster news.
After placing Farris on NFI and Hawkins retiring Pats have 88 players on the roster which means 2 spots are opened. Id guess BB would like to start TC w max roster so it will be interesting to monitor possible new signings. One name that was connected to NE last days is vet CB Brandon Flowers. Since the losses are at IOL and WR new guys might come from these departments; IOL is arguably the thinnest position entering camp. WR still has enough depth but I wouldn't be surprised if another one is signed. From the two WRs that were released during spring Devin Street signed w NYJ and DeAndrew White is still a free agent. He could be the best short term camp option knowing the system etc . but they could also look at another vet in the Washington/Hawkins capacity (f.e. Stevie Johnson; btw from ex Pats Thompkins is still out there..). Here are some suggestions by Bernd B from Patspulpit: How will the Patriots fill their two open roster spots heading into camp?
There are two changes re. jersey numbers. It looks like Harris will not slide into Mayo's 51 after all; he will now wear #45 the number he wore in college. Here's Reiss article on Harris' full circle story: David Harris back to where it all started with jersey No. 45.
Damarius Travis moves to blue #35 (same as Gillislee on a white jersey). Hopefully this doesn't reflect Travis' chances being one of my many binkies..

Some news on the coverage of TC
The new media outlet Boston Sports Journal (Boston Sports Journal - Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics News) will have free preview until July 30 so could be interesting to check out how they cover the first few TC days.
Good news from Patspropaganda: Mike Dussault announces that he got credentials from Patriots to cover TC first hand so it will be interesting to follow his experience and insight. More about this here: State of the Blog
Lombardi will be visiting camps across the country and Patrios are of course on his itinerary as well so The Ringer will be a place to follow as well.
