This is what I mean w/ Obi. I see it too much. Thumper gets thrown around too much w/ him

Two pundits, Daniel Jeremiah, Dane Brugler, have said that UCLA CB Fabian Moreau is a top 50 pick which is a fairly new name as regards the consensus. Brugler also says NC State safety Josh Jones is a top 50 guy and says "if you squint real hard you can see Jalen Ramsey". Jones has great size at 6'2" and 215lb. There is one video at Draft Breakdown but the field is completely waterlogged so you learn very little about him except that he makes tackles well.
Manx, your thought on this guy ahkello-witherspoon

I really like him.

Positives

Long arms. Predicting now that he'll have 33"-34" arms which is ridiculous.
Smooth hips. Turns to run really easily with receivers.
Very good press corner
Gets his hands on the ball. Tied with teammate Tedric Thompson for most PBUs last season.
Sounds very smart and apparently wants to be a surgeon.
Can see him running sub 4.5 comfortably. Ran downfield with John Ross.

Negatives

Haven't seen him play much zone
Not a very good tackler. Needs to improve that to play in our defense

That's about it for the negatives. I think he's going to be a fast riser. I think he has a chance for the first round depending on how he tests at the combine. His relatively poor tackling might keep him out. I'd give him a top 50 grade.

I love all three Colorado DBs. Witherspoon, Tedric Thompson, Awuzie.

I am keeping my eye on all the players that are producing multiple draft eligible players in a unit.

Ohio st
Bama
Florida
Colorado
Washington

I think there is something important about talent showing the ability to play with other talents.

If we're looking for a slot corner / safety, Dwayne Thomas is an interesting guy. He's used almost exclusively as a run blitzer in this game, but he does a nice job sniffing out screens and tackling off the edge. Two passes batted down when rushing the quarterback. Not often you see a team use a corner as a QB spy (usually a LB or S), but Thomas did a very nice job this game against Hurts.

ADOREE JACKSON

CB/KR/WR. Playmaker. Fast.

And explosive. But I wouldn't take him before 64. I'm not convinced about him as a CB but as a returner, offensive specialist and developmental CB I think he's interesting enough at 64.

Just watched a few of his games today and I wouldn't mind having him at #32.
Nice replacement for Sheard. Can be moved all over the line - could offer some great combos with Flowers..

It all starts at the feet/ankles. I'm a huge ass guy too. Love a nice dumpster ass on the back of my big guys. Waist/Hips, midsection too.

Mixon proved he can run all day against 7 man fronts. Thats understood. Only 3 attempts I believe w/ 8 or more. He can run but against an NFL front dropping 8 or more?
Given the NFL nowadays he'll see that a lot anyway but thats the biggest on the field concern for me rn.

Why pay Marcellus Bennett 8+ million a year when you can draft this guy and pay him 1 million a year for the next 4 years!?

Looked at the highlights. I really like him too. His first step burst is particularly interesting to me and pretty good change of direction.

The only thing about this that gives me pause is it is nearly all creation with few complex routes. However the talent is there and he clearly has talent and tools that will succeed at the NFL level.

Two injured guys that would look really good on our defense next year are safety Jackson of Alabama and lb beckwith of LSU.

Seems like these two guys are on every mock I see as third or fourth round steals.
