So what's the deal with the reciever we took? Sorry to sound like a downer, but it's really hard for me to get hyped about any wide out we draft.

Smart, great character, runs excellent routes, decent athleticism and good hands.

Does Belichick really strike you as the sort of person to sacrifice value in the draft to make a meaningless statement?

Kind of a weird leap, imo. Belichick probably thinks they got good value for the trade and made it.

Yeah, it only took two convoluted trades. I'm sure it wasn't a coincidence. Keep in mind, he didn't trade for a fourth, he traded for only a low fourth, unless two of the best teams, in a league where 90% of the teams are snit, go to pot.

It's spiteful, IMO and I like it.

Hmm, ok maybe it isn't meaningless on some level but I don't think it is meaningful enough to where he would make a trade that didn't represent value.

How about he thinks it's a decent value and increases our flexibility next year and is a little bit of a middle finger @ the NFL?
